Re: 2D QVGA Manilla released - any chance for the Titan?

Manilla works pretty well on my Mogal. Youtube works great on low quality. The video seems to lag sometimes with the high quality mode. I first hard reset my phone and the following the Full Install instructions. I am enjoying the message, photos, and the music tabs. It does use a decent amount of memory, but its worth it for what I use the phone for.

Re: 2D QVGA Manilla released - any chance for the Titan?

First Im gonna retrack my previous statement..

When I first had it installed I didnt REALLY like the blue setup with the analog clock. Thats kinda why I didnt like it. I usually have my phone in a dark setup and it kinda throws it off with the other diamond skinned stuff I got.

But then I seen the skins and I just had to reinstall f it, its only a hard reset.

Go to the end of the first post theres a section called modding. To be able to change the order and on/off
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425974

I only turned a few off but I didnt mess around with the order at all but he says that it can be done. Works perfect. Just soft reset after to copy the file back to the device.

Re: 2D QVGA Manilla released - any chance for the Titan?

my official analysis of manilla is that it's bloated with junk, unconfigurable, and memory hog compared to similar throttlelauncher which is none of that...

ya for sure... i think there will also be more releases from htc as well... I need to do some digging through the MASSIVE amount of posts and see if there is a way to customize it more.. I really really just want the home tab to just use the regular home screen but have all the other scrolly things at the bottom too.. probably not possible but there has to be a way to hack some xml files to at least get it to do some diff things.

and maybe someone can optimize it for the mogul. It does eat up alot of memory. I'll give it another shot when its a little more finalized. But damn if it isnt cool.

Re: 2D QVGA Manilla released - any chance for the Titan?

Anyboy else running quickmenu 2.7 and have it acting really slow? Takes a couple of seconds to open up and it's getting annoying. I decided to Hard reset and follow the instructions for the step by step intall from XDA and got almost everything working except for youtube app and the album player.

The problem i'm having with the album player is that it plays the video in portrait, even though the menu bar with the stop/rewind/play option shows up in landscape. Now if I open my phone's keyboard it'll play the video in landscape correctly but it would be nice to play it in landscape with the keyboard closed or not have to rotate the screen manually with the rotate option. Anybody else having this problem?

Re: 2D QVGA Manilla released - any chance for the Titan?

Okay... some good developments with this.. mainly a friggin' customizer!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427392

This is sweet... you can remove the pointless tabs and move everything around easily.. I was able to remove some of the hoggish tabs and M2D is now actually working well.. much faster and it is only eating 2.9mb now which is totally tolerable.

I removed Internet/Photo/Music which I find all of them to be pointless and I honestly think Music was taking the most memory but I haven't really done any testing.. this is good too because in addition to removing the tabs, I also didn't install all the cabs those ones require as well so ended up saving a lot of memory on the device all around. I also didn't install Opera Mobile cuz I think it's too much of a pig on our devices... prefer Mini and can launch that from the IE button... photos is pointless and the viewer was kinda dumb compared to Resco.. and don't get me started about the music player.

just fyi for those who like m2d but didn't liek the extra junk and/or people who want to tone down the memory it takes. check out that customizer app!

quickmenu has been quirky for me lately, and i'm sure it's related to manilla2d...

and as far as youtube.. mine works fine now... but i'm still a no-go on videos being played using album player...
