Converted Sprint to Verizon. Roaming now??

I bought a sprint phone online, and converted it to Verizon. My problem is the stupid Roaming ICON. I have a Verizon XV6800 and I checked as many settings in EPST that I could find, and they all match. Here's the PRI / PRL versions if that helps.

PRI : 2.00_003
PRL : 51056

This cannot be fixed until verizon releases an offical software update for the xv6800 so we can extract out the verizon pri to patch it to the phone.

Is there no way to extract the PRI from the real XV6800 software that I have on the real 6800 phone?

No not that we currently know of. The radio refurbish cab will restore a phone back to its original carriers radio specs. This can be used if you run sprint carrier cabs on a xv6800 to reset it back to vzw ship specs but will revert an altell back to altell etc regardless of what rom or carrier its currently used on.

I'm aware of the refurbish thing. It's an exe ran in the windows directory with the /Refurbish paramater. Didn't do anything. Also, I already did all the "Conversion" from Sprint to Verizon. The phone works fine with voice/sms/mms/data.. etc. The only problem is the "Roaming". That is what's troubling me.

Ok... I started from scratch. Some "birdie" told me that since I let the sprint rom run customizations.... it screwed up the PRI/ERI. So.... here's what I did.

1) Ran SPL Relocker
2) Loaded Verizon's Stock Rom/Radio and let it run Customizations.
At this point... the phone still said roaming. When I checked the "NAM" settings, they still said SPCS.

WTH?

Is there no way to "ERASE" the PRI/ERI and load from scratch?

Edit: With the stock Verizon ROM/Radio.. I did a Hard-Reset. This got everything to VZW in the NAM Settings... but the PRI is still 2.00_003. And the ERI when read using #Help... gives a read error. I've tried redoing it with ##eri... but I get a write error as well.

Don't know what to tell you. When somehow I inadvertently let the sprint customizations run on my xv6800 the reset process worked. To get the PRI and the other setting back. Can't remember if the nam had spcs in it.
Right after you do the revert to 1.06 bootloader and load the stock rom, remove the battery and do a hard reset, what are your settings, PRI, PRL, NAM etc...?

Do you have an account with VZW yet? Have you tried to authorize the phone? Has VZW opened up their network yet, i.e., are they friendly yet to accepting other phones on their network?

That's all I can think to ask for the moment.

OK, sorry. I misunderstood a little. If you're on the V network just roaming then from what I understand it's your PRI. It has to be 1.35_002. If it's 2.x you've somehow let the sprint stuff run. Don't ask me how. I never knowingly let it run on mine and got hosed too. Anyway, check your UC script, if you're using UC, that is a good place to start. I don't believe that 3.2.5 has customizations built in natively - as I am running that too. Might want to dbl ck you kitchen if you're doing a custom build.

The V PRI gets updated when you flash the stock vzw rom from the downloads section. I've seen discussions about extracting it - but from what I've seen it's not been done to date. The phone is a Sprint mogul "Cloned" as my real Verizon phone. I figured... I got the mogul real cheap... and I could box up the verizon one and put it in the closet... keeping it in 100% clean and good shape.

That being said, I am a verizon customer. I have the phone totally working, with the exception of the Roaming issue. This as I'm finding out is the PRI problem.

I have the bootloader back to the Verizon stock. 1.04. and have loaded the stock rom twice allowing for it's customizations to run. They never rewrite the PRI or ERI.
