There will be a PPST.exe file in the carrier upgrade that will write the new Preferred Radio Instructions to it. Extract the sprint, altell, or bell upgrade and look for yourself. The verizon one will be no different.

Gotcha. Found the PPST files in the ExTrom in the "signed_080516_7500_SPCS_2.04.sa.CAB" file. Hmm... so the original stock rom package doesn't include these files?

Well... the update didn't work. It now has a PRI of 2.03_002 and still says roaming. UGH!!!

The differences must be embedded in the NVM somewhere then. Strange thing is the 6600 and 6700 don't have this issue but their nvm isnt locked either so you can edit the lower EFS. I'm sure you already tried this but I saw you were running dcd3.26. What happens if you put the phone in roam only? Will it search for service or a longshot does the roam icon go away? I know I had to enable data roaming to get email sync on these converts as the phone thinks its roaming even though its on its new home network and the data roaming selection was reverse from what it should be.

I'll try that. I do know this though... it still errors when trying to look at ERI. ERI says 0 instead of the usual 4. And, I still can't write it using the phone. I wonder if there is a way to load the ERI via QPST.
