the link on the top of page 11 worked perfectly for me went from 3.35 to 3.56 in about 14 minutes

man wtf is with this rom....i am having nothing but issues with it...i have had to hard reset my device atleast 6 times in the past 24 hours...i finally found out why tho...everytime i run pinbackup and it installs home plugin on my device it locks up...so i went and installed the home plugin again 2 more times alone and it locks to phone up...soon as i go to setting and click items to add the plugin on the today screen...boom freezes and wont do anything...i let it set for like an hour and it was still froze...why isnt the home plugin working with this rom

There is a know issue with certain versions of htc home and windows 6.1.

The easiest way to get the correct version would be to download HHC from here. You can download the correct version of Home from within that program.

Thanks for the info on opera... and as far as the memory issue, i have installed the same exact thing on both roms.

htc home, spb pocket plus and memaid. those are the 3 main programs installed on the phone and not much anything else. on a fresh soft reset i'm at about 20mb free and then as i use the phone it drops to about 17mb free on the test rom... on the 3.56 i'm starting at 17 and dropping to about 15 or 14mb free.

i'm not having issues with lockups but just noticed the memory difference between the test and 3.56 official rom. i know that by running the spb and htc home i'm going to run on the heavy side but this has been the same setup i have ran on this phone for the last 6 months. just wanted to note that 3.56 seems to not handle the memory as well as the test 3.49 rom and i didn't have any issues with cprog.exe errors.

why is it that every link ive seen dosent have the download to get the new update

My HTC Home Plugin weather quit working. I changed the cities data file to include my city and with 3.56 the weather will not download. It worked with the old rom, not with the new one. ???? Everthing else seems to be working fine. I have S2U2 installed and when I pick HTC weather on its settings, the temp shows up on the lock screen? But nothing on the htc weather screen, it says that it can't download. Am I missing something here?

As dangerous as it sounds; having the large start menu is helpful when trying to launch applications while driving, but its ackward appearance will take some getting use to.

Because they have not officially released it yet.....It sounds like they were testing the site.... it will be officially released tomorrow from what I have read....check back on it then....

The reason is because HTC's website had it up for awhile but now they have taken it down, thats the only reason. they said it should be up the 21st.
