Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
Anyone else noticed that the new Android zip that dzo posted actually doesn't freeze?
I'm also VERY curious what engine the browser is using... its got to be some variant of WebKit because its EXTREMELY good at rendering pages and its extremely fast to boot! I was playing with it for like 2 hours last night and it didn't freeze once. The battery indicator also seems to be working now as well. The end key to close apps seems a lot more reliable as well. And I can do calls and SMS. I don't know what dzo tweaked but it hasn't frozen on me in awhile.

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
yeah it did finally freeze on me again today but that was when I accidentally hit the "Power Off" option instead of turn off screen.
If we could just get our hardware keyboards working and get the screen alignment fixed, we'd be good to go. |

A suggestion to those that are having a hard time with the pointer calibration - Inside Dev Tools is a Pointer app that lets you see how the touch screen registers your touches. It helped me understand where and how I needed to touch the screen. For instance, quick taps are almost required along the outside of the screen because as you hold the stylus down near the sides you get irregular movement. |

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
I always get this message: com.google.android.googleapps stopped working, force quit or wait. Whichever button I click, it pops up again in a few seconds.
Anyone? |

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
if we're trying to get hardware keyboard working, shouldn't we be looking at IRQ's and I/O address's? after all, a keyboard puts a value in an I/O address (mailbox) then flags and IRQ so the processor can then go the the I/O address (mailbox) and get the data (mail). at least that's a simplified version of what a real keyboard words.
I also think that a lot of the buttons are done the same was, because no GPIO is pulled, so maybe an IRQ is. I haven't had much time to play with it, just during lunch break. The power button is GPIO 205, Voice command input GPIO is 291, it has an output GPIO of 131 (not sure exactly what this is, but I know it's changed by software) yes I know these are only what haret considers them and that the're not the true address of gpio anyone else have any luck? |

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
I can't get this to run. It boots but then some red animation thingy starts and never ends, I left it for like 15 mins and nothing happened.
What should I do? TIA
