You can do something similar to this in Tracky but I have yet to figure it out. No time to play anymore it seems.

I'm liking the look of the android, can't wait to see it it makes it to a stable full working version

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan

Hello all,

I'm trying to install this on a Telus P4000, with the newest verison of DCD's rom and I also keep getting this error:

mounting/dev/block/loopl on/system failed: invalid argument
Failed to mount/system
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off

I'm using a 2gig card, should I be using a smaller one? Is there something I need to change in the default.txt file?

Thanks!

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan

as posted in this thread MANY times, you need to either try formatting the card using a card reader directly attached to the pc or you may just have an incompatible SD card.

dcd 3.2.5, rom 3.35.04

edit: got the latest version. boots into linux and then comes up with a scren showing time, date, and to hit the down volume for the menu.. so effectively couldnt do anything?

is there a specific cab for the titan?

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan

Does anyone know how to get in contact with the main developer of this program.

Or even better could someone find me the documentation for setting up android to boot on a mobile phone.

I have a ton of Linux experience and could probably customize Android to work perfectly on our Moguls. The Problem is that it is very hard to find out how this guy got things started in the first place.

The developer is "dzo" on XDA.

He is willing to help out with general stuff but the task of getting our keyboard to work is going to be daunting at the very least. HaRET doesn't seem to be too useful for our purposes because the GPIO outputs duplicate on different keys. We need a new tool that can read further into what is going on with the Mogul's keyboard.

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan

Okay I have a neub question here. I have downloaded the latest Android Build from (http://it029000.massey.ac.nz/vogue/) and can get it to boot from my SD card but I just get a black screen with the Linux Penguin on it. I let it sit there for over 30 minutes think it was the compressed files trying to uncompress but I am guess that is wrong.

My thought is that I do not have the corrent username for my sprint pcs account.

Here is my defualt.txt
Quote:
set MTYPE 1667
set KERNEL zImage
#set initrd initrd.gz
set initrd initrd
set cmdline "ppp.username=username@sprintpcs.com ppp.password=password console=ttyMSM0"
boot
I have all files located in
\Storage Card\Program Files\Android

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
