Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom
Hi everyone. I've read over all the posts and I feel like I understand what's going on, but I'm still scared.
![]() I live in Brooklyn, so if anyone local doesn't mind spending a few minutes with me over the phone please message me. All I have to give is my gratitude, hopefully that will be enough ![]() |

I just realised part of what I said might gget your confused, the latest official rom shoudl have windows 6.1 stock now, but if you flash a custom rom, you have to make sure it is 6.1 although 99.999999999% of the roms out there are windows 6.1 nowadays Last edited by cornelious2; 07-18-2008 at 08:35 AM. |

Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom
I just ordered Sprint's HTC Touch so I should get it tomorrow. I've been browsing these forums for the last couple of days so I would know what to do when I get it. I still have questions, but I think the majority of them will be answered once I sit down and start flashing. Being my first PPC, I must admit I'm a little nervous... in the same way you get nervous when you're flashing your PC's BIOS.
Mainly just wanted to say thanks for this thread and holding on to it for later. |

![]() Then once your ready... 1) unlock (be aware of your radio version) 2) upgrade radio (if needed/wanted) 3) install custom rom Of course that's just the basic idea (in its simplest form), not a complete walkthru...
