All, check out this thread listed by shadow-tech. I no longer have the 6800 as I have upgraded to the Touch Pro. But I believe this helped me out on the 6800 as well. Good Luck!

LMAO!!! SO FULL OF CRAP!!! the gps runs off of the towers and not the sattilites in space! IDIOTS! I laughed so hard with this article I nearly crapped myself!

i cant believe im responding to this but, the phones DO use the satellites "in space". we here at ppcgeeks have done extensive research on this. please dont confuse people with your comments. we are also a bit more professional here then that. hopefully your next few post will be a bit more intelligent. please dont 'pollute' my thread.


turn on gps, get a lock, put phone in flight mode. gps still functions.

Maybe a stupid question. Can you still use the GPS if you enable it but don't have it activated on your account?
