Actually, the instructions are spread all through the various sticky posts in this section (Titan upgrade). The Flashing for Dummies and the Easy Guide to Upgrading both were very helpful.
I'm currently running the 3.27 radio and dcd 2.3.2 ROM. Once the kitchen is updated, I'll probably start playing with some of the later versions.

greetings from Anchor Town fellow alaskan ppc geeks. i just got my ACS htc 6800 like 2 weeks ago and was just getting to this flashing rom part. Thanks AlaskanGeek for getting this rolling, i've been scouring the interweb for all u all have covered. I'd like to see that workflow u and coldmogul have used on ur devices. (apologies i just realized how much i was txting). I was pretty good at tweakin' my old dell Axim back in the day, but certainly dont want to brick this phone, i've been waiting about a year to get my hands on one up here in the 907. Yes, ACS is so ignorant. i called and asked about wm6.1 upgrade and they thought this phone was brand spankin' new and that it had the latest sofware on it. I WANT GPS!

(Choose US Cellular as the carrier. ACS is on the list, but does not work correctly. No2Chem said it will be fixed in the next update, but for now, use US cellular.) 5. Do a *228, and a ##778 and enter any information that may be missing. 6. Use QPST to change the carrier name on your phone from CellSouth to ACS. 7. Do the GPS regchange from 2 to 4. (GPSmode=4) 8. Enjoy your new GPS enabled ACS phone!!! NOTE: search PPCGeeks for the QPST program and how to use it. Also, a friend of mine just got back from Hawaii. He had updated his phone before going to Hawaii. While there he was roaming in Verizon. He phone cellular part worked, but the data connection did not. The data connection kept asking for a username and password. I called ACS and they said it is a common problem, they said that the: Username: is your 10 digit cell number @acsalaska.net Password: is your 10 digit cell number Domain: (leave blank) My friend tried this, but it still did not work. ACS blamed it on network upgrades and there maybe roaming issues until ACS fully upgrades to Rev A which is due in August of 2008. At that time, there should be an office HTC update for Rev A for ACS. But the cooked ROMs already have GPS and Rev A bulit into them from doing the 3.35 radio update on your phone. Long story short, you may have roaming issues. I do not leave Alaska much, so data roaming is no big deal, I'm sure it will get worked out.

(oops wrong key...) thanks so much. guess all i need now is some rockstar! Great info. on the rev.A. thats pretty much what was keeping me at bay. it didn't make sense to flash and upgrade if the system was still rev.0, but all the Diamond themes and gps stuff was killing me. i was willing to flash just for those extra features. so, cool, thanks again and i'm off to fill this shopping list. wish me luck!

Akgeek thanks for the info, I've been bouncing around forums trying to find a proper rom without much luck. I tried a sprint rom and got a Invalid Vendor Id msg. With how bad ACS reams us on phones I am real afraid of bricking it.

Okay, I unlocked my phone with Hard_SPL_MFG and loaded the Sprint RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.56.651.0_RS_TITAN_3.42.02_S PCS2.04_PPST_0718_Ship
and everything appears to be working. I am using internet sharing right now. I haven't gone outside to check the GPS yet but I'm hopeful. When then phone started to cutomize itself I hit the soft reset after installation.

I'm not sure if it is faster or not I don't have anything to compare it to, but it does work. I believe that some of the cutomization may have loaded because sprint music store is loaded, but everything appears to be working properly. I still need to figure out how to change the display name with QPST? whatever that is. I may try and download a custom ROM after some more reading. Do you know if it is possible to get the GPS to work where there is no cell coverage?
