NEW ALLTEL ROM 3.35 is now on HTC Site!!!

So Vet you are saying we can just install the radio from your link and be done with it, no need to flash the entire rom am I reading something wrong? Is the GPS info still the same? Or any newer?

I flashed it this morning. It is WM 6. Then re-flashed my WM 6.1 OS from the kitchen. GPS works nicely, and I have had fewer IOTA drop outs. Could be placebos, but so far, nothing to complain about. So, now I have Radio 3.37.20 and WM 6.1. from the kitchen with all the upgrades and s/w I prefer.

I don't see why other carrier people can't do as we did by flashing the Sprint 3.35.04 radio, then flashing the OS ROM we wanted. Seems reasonable to try. Don't let the configuration run, then flash your OS ROM of your choice.

I can't seem to get GPS to work with this ROM. In TomTom with the Sprint ROM, I had a COM4 which was the GPS. Now with the Alltel ROM, there's no COM4. Just COM3 and COM7. I went into the Settings and changed the GPS port to COM3 and set TomTom to COM3, but it still doesn't find GPS. Any ideas?

Google Maps can't seem to find the GPS either.

that was my problem, i went back to VV's 6.1 rom and got GPS, i got impatient with the new alltel, so i just tested the radio with the now older sprint 3.35 based roms and it worked. Im not knowledgeable to know what else to do

Ok thanks Vetvito. So I should just flash the Verizon rom and use olipro 2.4 or do I need to use that since its already on the phone? And then flash the Black pill over it? Also does anyone know if the 8 gig micro is supported with the black pill. Meritline has the 8 gig sandisk for $58 looking at getting it.

Just flash Verizon rom; if you already have Olipro 2.4 then you don't need to use it. Just make sure you have the correct radio

So can nayone confirm they have the new Alltel radio flashed onto a Sprint Mogul with GPS & stuff working using No2Chem's 5060 6.1 ROM?

well i am using the new alltel radio and can confirm GPS everything is working on my sprint mogul(active on cricket network) using a rom based off of DCD 3.0.4
