Re: Uscc 6800 Gps, Custom Roms, Downgrading Guide

OK so I can get to the ##778 page where it asks for the unlock code, I enter in the 000000 and this doesn't work so they must have changed the code, ok, but if I continue with the install process will the new rom change the code back to the 000000? Or should I wait until I get the correct unlock code?

Re: Uscc 6800 Gps

ok so you dont need to get the code for ##778 before you image it will change to 000000, just record your info, also i used many of the kitchens and the newest one works awesome the first time around...data and voice works right away, plus it had a ton of extra modules to select. That would be the "Titan_WM6.1_20748 Selections.txt", and im using US Cellular. I havent tested the gps yet, in a huge apt where I wouldnt get reception but im sure it will.

Regards,
htc 6800 - uscellular

Re: Uscc 6800 Gps, Custom Roms, Downgrading Guide

Crud, I think I'm in BIG trouble here. Thought I followed directions but failed somewhere. When I ran Hard-SPL-MFG it eventually asked to update the ROM so I did. I then started the titan_radio 3.35.04 file and everything loaded but I never got to run the PPCKitchen and the phone had rebooted and is hung at the HTC screen. I tried to do the power - camera - reset button and it keeps going back to the hung HTC screen. Is there any way out of this or did I just brick this thing?

PLEASE HELP

Do the kitchen thing and everything will be fine.
The OS on the phone WM6.0 will not run with the new SPL so it will forever hang there until you flash a 6.1 ROM.

To confirm, when you boot the device, does it show R 3.XX?
If you press cam+power+reset (bootloader) does it show 2.40?

If you answer 'Yes' to both these questions - then like outback said, flash a 3.X ROM

Re: Uscc 6800 Gps, Custom Roms, Downgrading Guide

Thanks for your responses. I finally got this thing to boot to the 2.40 bootloader screen, I just think it was my fingers not getting everything pushed a t the same time. I did notice that when booting to the HTC screen, it did show the 3.XX radio. New problem, now I can't seem to get the PPCKitchen program to work. When I pick the Titan_NoChem_5050_WM6.1 selections I get errors stating "Unhandled exception error has occured in you application.....Attempted to read or write protected memory....". It keeps giving that error until I quit the program.

Thanks

Re: Uscc 6800 Gps, Custom Roms, Downgrading Guide

that would prolly be the issue with IE 8 beta

so either you can removed IE8 -or-

We can't resolve this as we can't replicate it, but the issue should go away in a future build due to other changes being worked on.

Re: Uscc 6800 Gps, Custom Roms, Downgrading Guide

I can't thank you enough Puff. Got everything going with your help and quick responses.

I wished there would have been more of programs in the kitchen so it would have closely matched my old setup, but hey, I can load all that stuff separate. Could you tell me how I can reprogram my voice activation button? It would be nice to have that.

Again, thank you so much for your help

Np. Did you try remapping the button thru settings?
