Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen

According to PPCKitchen.org, .NetCF 3.5 is SUPPOSED to be in the base kitchen. But it hasn't been showing up. Only the 2.0. I tried doing a build anyway, thinking maybe it was auto included or something. I'm pretty sure it's not, because nothing works right untill I throw in my own oem with the 3.5 cab.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen

I'm attempting to use this, and when I go to build the ROM, I'm getting an error saying "Error Building File System"

This is the first time I've used BuildOS, but I did update everything, and only selected a couple of optional programs.

Anyone else running into this?

strange... i know that it wasn't in the initial release, but when i re-updated i found a new SYS_20748_Apache.rar to download that has NetCF3.5 folder in it. that solved most of my app issues.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen

Thanks everyone for the great support and keeping my xv6700 interesting.

I haven't updated since July and I ran updater but got an error saying count not connect to site. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the lasted BuildOS and it updated fine to 20748.

When I start though I get the username/pasword prompt fine. After that BuildOS crashes (Vista x32 SP1) with:

Description:
Stopped working
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: CLR20r3
Problem Signature 01: ppc-buildos.exe
Problem Signature 02: 9.5.0.0
Problem Signature 03: 48d33bb4
Problem Signature 04: PPC-BuildOS
Problem Signature 05: 9.5.0.0
Problem Signature 06: 48d33bb4
Problem Signature 07: 32
Problem Signature 08: c6
Problem Signature 09: System.InvalidOperationException
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.6
Locale ID: 1033

At first I thought .net framework upgrade related issue, but it seems BuildOS is still on 20 (Vista SP1 is supposed to have that preinstalled).

Just before uninstalling, I ran the old july BuildOS with no probems.

Any ideas? (PS I installed BuildOS to E:\BuildOS instead of deafault location). Will uninstall and try with default.

Thanks!

It's because you have IE8. A fix is in the works. In the meantime, you can remove the background image (I've posted directions several times) as a work around.

Would that be the reason I am getting a error message with S2u2 when I save and close the s2u2 settings page?
Getting error message: the file 's2u2' cannot be opened. ....not signed with trusted cert......

But if I hit the power button to turn off the screen, then turn it back on, s2u2 runs just fine... hmmmm.
It has nothing to do with this Build as I had same problem with older 19213Build.
still saves settings also.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen

Ya, I didn't get the issues with s2u2 v1.18 but with new build v1.22 I keep getting the error message.
Wondering if installing sdkcert.cab would fix this? Just a thought.

UPDATE: Installing sdkcert.cab did not fix the issue. Still looking for the fix.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen

Hi. Yesterday I cooked some ROMS with this build. It looks pretty. However I´ve had some issues, clock won´t update time unless I soft reset (the big one, the samall does update). It will not download the weather (stays forever attempting to download, I live in Monterrey, Mexico and had no issue with Rob´s WM6.0), it will not sunc with my XP computer), and it will not let me install S2U2 (with cab) or HHC bcs it says they´re not trusted.

Fo you know if I´m doing sommething wrong?

Thanks a lot.

After uninstalling (previously set to e:\BuildOS)and reinstalling using default location, my problem went away and BuildOS is running fine!

I read your earlier posts on IE8 and I never installed it.

Thanks for your support!
