Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen

I have found that the slimmest version of Manilla 2D is with this kitchen and although it didn't work right away on my Apache, it did with the cab fix, but the cities file needs to be fixed or added and a link to customize what you dont need is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...hlight=manilla
I am updating with updater to see what changes are already added.
mayby we need an OEM for the Manilla2D cabfix if not already in the works..

I noticed VC version 1.6.19965 works but doesn't speak to me anymore, but it may just be a conflict with other OEMs or reg edits in my OEM so will be flashing again...

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen

the program I find uses a lot of CPU on average 70-80% is phoneservice.exe anyone know what it does and if that's normal (btw I am still running the Helmi build) and I have my processor overclocked at 624Mhz

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen

Also does anyone know if there are any new features/fixes in this build compared with the Helmi one? Or is it just meant to be more stable?

It is definitely faster- quite a bit faster.
There are also some nice tweaks in the menus. I believe that it's also using the new skinny signal strength bars.
The only "con" is that I can't get smartskey to work.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen

Make sure that updater has the newest files by running it again until you no longer see updates available for the Apache.

I found that everything works nicely when I use the services.exe file from the 19716 kitchen. Follow the directions here.

Use the OLDEST VoiceCommand if you use MSVC. The newer ones work for some people, but I've always had issues with VC/BT and selecting button assignments.
Don't expect Smartskey to work.

If you haven't flashed custom ROMs before, make sure you put your device in BootLoader [POWER+RECORD+RESET] before you flash.

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen

Thanks, what's the difference between the initial 20748 selections file on starting BuildOS and the one under the groups sub folder? Also any way to keep my selections from Helmis build, apart form manually writing down?

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20748 Kitchen

why are we advising an older services.exe with this kitchen? the services.exe included in this build is fixed. or at least it seems to be for me. whats the beef with this version?
