Mogul's left LED keeps turning PURPLE!!!

The weirdest thing has been happening on my 1-month old Mogul. The left LED on my Mogul will sometimes shine solid PURPLE for over 10 minutes while charging on the home charger. The phone appears to function properly -- although it becomes rather warm while charging.

If I have bluetooth enabled, it will shine solid purple and will flash blue for a moment, seemingly on top of it. What does this purple led mean? Should I have my phone replaced?

Seriously though... running stock Sprint 3.35 ROM (Mogul came already loaded with this in the box)... I've had 6 Moguls -- and this is the only one that ever did this....

Anybody else have the purple LED? Anyone?

i read somewhere that the odd colored lights mean that there is overheating. i cant think of any reason your mogul would overheat upon recharging, other than maybe you've got a faulty battery or wiring. its really hard to say.

Sounds to me like you need a different phone, 6 moguls, damn dog im still on one that i bought in early july. how brutal are you with your phone.

man I have the same problem and is because of overheating.. it happens when the phone is charging and has low signal..
its really weird.. but how can I get a replacement if I cannot put the phone to do that whenever I want.

Haha, nah, not really... just bad luck here! Let's see -- I got the first Mogul before it was in the stores (bought from telesales with ROM 2.08.651), and the poor thing developed a bad battery circuit. Second one I dropped horribly on a cobblestone driveway and the keyboard wouldn't open. Insurance replaced with brand new (no deductible!

). Third one's screen flickered out one day -- and never came on again. Fourth and fifth seemed alright to me, but Sprint called me on each and asked that I return to the store to exchange for new because the phones were flagged as defective in their systems. So there you have it... lol... only one was really an issue I caused... the rest were just bad luck....

what happening is when you have the bluetooth on it turns purple. but when the phone overheats the led is white. so with the blue and the dark white mixing it makes the led flash purple.

I think you're onto something, because it first started showing the purple LED while it was on the charger and was quite warm to the touch.

EDIT: I just took the battery out to check it over and looks like there's leaky corrosion on the upper left side. I'll take it to my friendly corporate Sprint store and see what they find out.
