I'm not sure how I'd flash any rom. I can't connect via Activesync and I can't go the microsd route either.

Just start up the RUU - if it recognizes your device, it will flash it. Otherwize it will tell you that it doesn't recognize your device or sumthing like that... dont know the exact verbage.

It tells me I have a connection error

ERROR [260] : CONNECTION

Before it asked me to install new drivers.

sounds like you might need a replacement... perhaps someone else has another suggestion, but you have done a lot that was suggested in the thread i linked to...

i briefly scanned thru it again and you might try another battery if you have an extra, or flash from sD card, but other than that, um, looks like you might have device in "download mode"
