Now do I need to install the old activesync drivers under Vista in order to run this kitchen, or not -- I am now using sp1 of Vista.

Thanks.

So long as this is using standard ports then the firewall isn't the issue. I did a plain vanilla install taking all the defaults. My laptop is part of a 2003 AD domain. The laptop is an XP SP2 (XP Firewall is off) and I have a roaming profile. My Documents is remapped to save to a Network Drive. You think any of that could be causing problems?

Also it seems that everytime you update builds for OEMizer it doesn't use the same folder and you have to copy everything up. 9.05.2.7 then 9.05.2.7Temp. I also found that after saving my OEM and then reopening it that the checkboxes for POP3/Imap are unchecked and the Mail2Web/Exchange is also unchecked.

The 3.16 is just an incorrect string, you still have 3.35. Everything else is as it was besides carriers. Have you started using any new today plugins?

Fixes for 3.35:
-Fixed incorrect versions being reported in flash utility, boot (now set to D 3.35cust), and epst.
-Fixed shortcuts being made even if comm manager and Sliding Sound aren't selected.
-External GPS moved to settings->connections instead of system.
-Removed duplicate Sliding Sound. It's available in PPCGeeks_OEM now.

Edit:
Available for manual download right now.

Yes you hit it on the nail, I removed "GPS Today" plugin from my selections and it works fine. Stinks too I like that little plugin.

In the sliding sound control panel, I added a scheme but it wouldn't save it. I edited one of the schemes to the sounds I wanted (transformers), I played the sounds to test ok, then saved. Open out sound plays, but Closing in sound does not, when sliding the keypad. on a side note, the default sounds DO play correctly in and out.

thanks,

-CC

Other problems you might be having would be if this is your first time booting a rom from the kitchen you will have to pull your battery out for a few seconds and put it back in.

Another possibility, you didn't flash Stock Sprint 3.35 (found in the first post) after unlocking your phone, so you don't have the proper radio version to boot the rom.
I have a question about this radio -- I have seen two alternatives and I would like to know which one is correct -- if I am reading the first post correctly, I just unlock with the 2.40 and then flash the radio, I have also seen comments to flash the whole sprint rom which I would prefer not to do, so is the first method correct, or must I flash the entire Sprint rom?

Thanks much to all.

The folder name is a bug in BuildOS that hasn't been corrected. That aside, why are you messing in that folder at all? OEMizer doesn't use it at all, and no one else should either.

Hi, not trying to get us Off Topic again, but:
I have been flashing from a 512MB Sandisk with no troubles at all. 0.
(JUST-make sure it's formatted to fat32! and NOTHING ELSE on the card-just titaimg.nbh!!!) it should work for anybody.
*for me it's the best/safest way to flash as Device Center seems to randomly disconnect in general.

anyhow, 5060 up and running and it's a sweet ride !
I think it's because you "hard reset".
Insert the fat32 formated card which has JUST titaimg.nbh on it,
in the root. and NOTHING ELSE * any more files/folders will confuse the bootloader!
Put your device in bootloader by holding power camers and softreset,
the ROM should start to load. If not, just soft-reset.
best of luck.

Thanks.
Using Windows Mobile Device Center the only issues I've had with Vista are - 1. Run both the Updater and BuildOS as Administrator - and 2. If you manually update files ensure you copy them into your BuildOS Kitchen and Project directories if you download them to say your desktop and then Move them to this location you will mess up their rights. Copy inherits rights, Move - rights come from where it was moved from. NTFS 101. If you should happen to do this you can just open up the User rights starting from the BuildOS directory down. I know I've seen where some folks comment they can't Update as it says it can't copy files. I would bet 2 bits it's problem # 2 from above. Moving files moves rights and with Vista unlike XP files on the Desktop and Program Files behave differently.

Have now cooked and burned at least a dozen ROMS from the PPC Kitchen with Vista with UAC active. Vista Ultimate SP1, Vista Home Premium SP1 and non SP1 work without a problem.

The standalone radio upgrade was just put out so that non-sprint users no longer have to flash the full stock sprint ROM. Easier than saying "flash sprint and then don't let the customizations run" just to get the new radio. Now everyone can follow the same procedure. Both are correct, just one runs you the risk of running the Sprint customizations which can screw with your epst settings.
