To think, i've been pressing an extra key all this time...

thx dude, lloll I tried 5 times with the previous combo and there was no go...but i just did cam, pwr, soft reset and got it. its 2.40. so how do i proceed from here on I have buildos installed and just need some stable rom that can give me gps capability.

just download the kitchen from http://ppckitchen.org
the updater will pull the files you need, then
have fun cooking !!!

sorry for being so slow. please bare with me. I downloaded Titan_No2Chem_5060_WM6.1 the rar extracted it and where do i go from here. my phone is a verizon ? do i need build os to do this or its an exe file ? if possible please give little more details. I have read diff stuff for past few days ...but im still very unfamiliar with all these.. im so close eh

ok, first you dont extract the rar files... here's the installation guide

3) After installation you should run the Updater found at Start->Programs->PPCKitchen->Updater.
4) Install all updates related to BuildOS and your device. This step is important because the BuildOS installer does not contain a kitchen for any devices. They are all obtained through the Updater.
5) Now you're ready to run BuildOS. Start->Programs->PPCKitchen->BuildOS.
6) You will be greeted with a login screen. If you have a PPCGeeks username, enter it with a new password. If you don't have a PPCGeeks username, enter the name you usually use for chat or email with a new password.
7) Next you will see a dialog box asking you for a project file. Choose the one for your device.

BuildOS will now open the main window and you can begin choosing your options.

yes i have done that and ran the updater ...but when i lets say pull the 5060 selection into buildos , it loads it just fine...but all the field are unchecked. im not too sure which does what...are these unchecked fields extra to what the rom already has or do i have to select everything for my rom from ground up ?

as far as which select does what, hover over it and it will give you a brief description. you are building your r0m, so you will need to select what you want included in your r0m, the .NET 2.0 framework should always be included IMHO, but it's made optional - so make sure to check that one... other than that... what do you want to include, er cook in?

i couldn't get the internall gps working with this kitchen. Was there an option i suppose to check off? i tried both google maps and windows live, but they couldn't get any satellites. The stock rom, it would lock onto the gps within 30 seconds.

Me too. Was just gonna wait until the next version to see if it came back, but since I'm not the only one, I'll put it out here...

Location set to "on"
G Maps set to "use windows settings"
I even tried the registry hack, gpsmode to 4 (or something like that).

No satellites found....ever.

5060 built from the kitchen (official basekit version).
