Thanks for the reply. One other question - I was starting to build a ROM and was asked numerous times if I wanted to replace files. Is this normal? If I am "building" the ROM, I don't understand why it would ask me if I want to replace files.

Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19199 (Build 19199.1.0.0)

It asks because multiple OEMs are loading the same file into your rom. Obviously only one can win. In general, we've set it up so that answering Yes/OK will achieve the desired result, but we don't have any control over your personal OEMs...hence the annoying warning.

Thanks for the explanation. It seemed like that was the case, just a good guess on my part until I saw your reply.

So, is there a simple way to effectively remove packages from the kitchen? There are many items in there that I would never want to use and it is quite annoying that I must cylcle through the entire list each time I want to cook something up. Since there is no option to "unlist" or "remove" the package in the kitchen application, I am wondering how one would go about it at the file level. Also, is there some documentation somewhere that explains in detail how the kitchen functions? I didn't find anything on PPCKitchen.org, but I was hoping maybe someone has written something up for us NOOB's that really want to sink our teeth in.

Thanks again! Cheers...

So, after looking at a few ROMs, I kind of realize that no one has created one the way I really want and I want to do it myself. Probably how most of you started cooking, eh? Now, what I really want is HTC TouchFlo, Google Maps (with GPS of course), MS Office including Outlook, and my phone. Anything else would just be a waste at this point. But, I am not able to select TouchFlo from the Kitchen, only FTouchFlo. I read the notes and can't see what I am missing. I tried loading every project thinking maybe it only works for specific ones, NOPE! Maybe this isn't as easy as I was hoping.

Hmmm. So, then is there no way to get Cube/TouchFlow-like action on a Titan? I found that FTouchFlo and FunContacts seems to get close, but of course I want the whole phone to work that way.

Am I asking for too much?

Thanks! Cheers...

Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19199 (Build 19199.1.0.0)

Still playing and coming up with more questions or maybe a bug...

So I cook a ROM from a fresh reboot and all goes fine. I check out my ROM and find that I want to tweak it. So, I go back to the kitchen and make my changes. However, when I try to start cooking again, I get the following error message:

C:\Documents.......\PPC-BuildOS\9.05.2.7Temp
The process cannot access the file 'C:\Documents....\PPC-BuildOS\9.05.2.7Temp\RUU' because it is being used by another process.

I have tried shutting the application down and restarting, but this has no effect. I have tried to go delete the folder, but get the same error. I am guessing that the application is not cleaning up properly after it's done.

Any thoughts?

Personal OEM not extracting properly..

So i wanted to put Opera 9.5 build 1126 in the rom, i extracted the cab to OEM by the program "Packages Creator 5.4" by the method listed in the xda-developers wiki: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...age%20Tutorial
I put the OEM it created into the USER_OEM folder and when PPCKitchen started building the rom, when it came time to build the registry hives, when it got to the one for Opera, it just said "cannot extract, error building Default hive",etc..

I did make other OEMs the same way and they all worked fine but just Opera and CorePlayer 1.2.3 did not work. any reason why those programs?

Yes, the next update will include a third party (xplode) version of the cube for the apache and titan.
