I searched extensively for this answer and did not find it. For my own edification, could you point me to the 2 posts you referred to in this thread that would have resolved my issue? I even searched outside this thread and couldn't find an answer. |

The guid for your personal OEM had changed. Same folder name, different GUID.

To answer your question- I've used both with the same result. After my post last night I upgraded to the 5059 kitchen (which is much faster - good work no2chem) and contains the same duplicate/triplicate files. Using Total Commander I did a search & found that some of the files are in \Windows and others are in \Windows\Rings. |

Some other issues: Can't select one of the versions of Flashlight. (first in the list) Second one works fine. Tray Launch OEM configures two launch icons that can't be found. I guess it might be that I decided not to install those two things when I cooked but the OEM should install clean no? But I have to say this is definitly the best Kitchen system out there! Great Job guys! I tried a number of different ROMs and I always went back to this kitchen! Only thing I would like to see is a few extra selection.txt files and OEMs that would simulate as much as possible what a stock carrier ROM would have. Such as Wireless Sync from Verizon, Etc... One last OEM bug - The Vogue dialer has an issue that if you close something the dialer pops up. Doesn't happen with the other dialers. Is there a place to give bug reports other than this thread? I don't want to mess up a support thread with bug reports. And truth is all the bugs are in the OEMs the kitchen itself appears to be flawless! Last edited by Asphyx; 03-31-2008 at 10:32 AM. |

Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19199 (Build 19199.1.0.0)
Point of clarity, here- as I too am confused about some of the terminology...
I thought the 'kitchen' was the place where you 'cook' your ROMs- i.e. the BuildOS utility. I thought the 'food' used in cooking was the 'basekits', i.e. either the No2Chem base or the stock SPRINT base stuff. And the ROM is the actual output of the kitchen- the .nbh file that you use to load into your phone. It is a compilation of all the 'food' you selected- the basekits and any other stuff you checked off. Don't want to belabor the discussions, but it may be easier if we all use the same terminologies....It appears as some of us may be a bit confused.... |
