Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19199 (Build 19199.1.0.0)

For those of you having G'reloc problems...if you proceed to building and flashing a ROM after G'reloc fails, there is no telling what issues you will have. Please don't expect your ROM to work reliably after part of the build process fails.

So BuildOS will fail if the ROM size is too large? I guess that means I have a conflict somewhere. Thanks guys!

Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19199 (Build 19199.1.0.0)

After you upgrade to the official Sprint 3.35 ROM it breaks the ability to receive picmail, well you can still see the picture, but you can't download a full size image on your phone, its as though it re-directs you to the website instead of the WAP share.

Does anyone know if this issue persists w/ custom ROM from this Kitchen?

*edit* found the fix, it's a cab called Sprint PictureMail Site Hack[1].cab.zip

While I admit I haven't tried it yet, in the UC threads on XDA, I was told that WinCE Cab Manager will let you change the install location. They also said if you just replace the %CEx% directory in the "InstallDir" line of _setup.xml with "Storage Card", that will work too.

Good to know, I'll have to give that a shot one of these days. Not that I ever install anything to the storage card anymore, but it would have been useful in my Apache days

Re: How do I remove the Titan Kitchen BootSplash Screen when using another cooked ROM

Well, I like the PPCKitchen and want to use it again. I had to use DCD's again because after I cooked and installed my rom using the ppckitchen, the instructions were not there to say take your battery out and reset. My phone froze on the 2nd boot screen. Therefore I had to use DCD's again.

I just liked my original boot splashes and I cannot find the .PNG files to insert into the PPCKitchen. Let me change my question.

Does anyone have the default sprint .PNG files that came from the Stock ROM so that I can change my bootsplash to use those and use them in the PPCKitchen?

Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19199 (Build 19199.1.0.0)

ok, i must be tired... When the kitchen is done cooking, where exactly doe sit save the .nbh file? The RUU opened automatically to allow flashing (as expected) but I'm not ready to flash right now and I can't find the .nbh file that was just created... Help?

Thanks

never mind... in case anyone else was wondering it saves at C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\hIq Inc\PPC-BuildOS\9.05.2.6Temp

leads to another question: Can I just copy the RUU_signed.nbh into an empty RUU and run the .exe or do I need to copy over any of the other files that were created also?

Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19199 (Build 19199.1.0.0)

First off...let me just bow before the exhaulted greatness of the PPCKitchen crew. Thanks so much for putting in the efforts, but even more for sharing with and helping the rest of us.

However I am getting an error, I select what I need in the kitchen(telus), build it, then it says its complete and runs the romupgrade utility, however it fails right away. with this error
"unable to find .../kitchen/readme.no2chem.txt" and closes.
I did everything , I flashed the stock sprint rom after the olipro, didnt let it boot... and its still not working.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

I think both of is are having the exact same issue and have each created a .txt file named Readme.no2chem.text in the BuildOS\Kitchens dir but same error again...anybody have any thoughts?

From the kitche, you just need hit:

Tools->Titan->RUU Tool and it will bring up the RUU piece. No need to hunt for the file.

Ok, so it's got an older version of No2chem's 6.1 base in it. So I suppose if I go and read the 1000 posts on his kitchen, and focus on the block of posts around two revs back, I can find the answer

Or, I use the sprint base and have the same wifi problems I have now, since it will be the same wm6 as I have now.

Gotcha.

Can you tell me if you guys are planning on updating the base, or is that possible for me to do?
