Is Roaming broken on the new 3.35 rom? (Sprint) - Page 3

google-ing it, it looks like it stands for Home Location Register...thanks guys for the tip for HLR reload...ive been hating the updates and not being able to talk while on the Metro. I PRL updated to 60711 and that didnt solve anything!

I am having this same issue. It would be awesome if someone could see if old er PRLs will make the EVDO work while roaming. How do I get my MRL code?? Do I need to make up a story to get them to give it to me lol?

So I took my battery out for a while like was mentioned in an earlier post and now when I first start my phone the EV block shows up until I do something to connected to data, then switches to 1X. It is like it picks up the EVDO network but refuses to connect to it. Do ya'll think it is still work a try to change the PRL?

I just went in and checked my PRL and there is nothing in the setting spot, and when you go to edit, it has nothing in the value section....it is blank. Is this normal. I have done 2 PRL updates through Sprint in the last 48 hours.

I just upgraded the ROM...I'm on vacation in the mountains...but before the upgrade I had Sprint signal just fine. Now, after the upgrade, I'm roaming. I still have all functionality, but what's with the roaming? Since the radio was upgraded...does it search for the best signal possible? Thanks in advance and sorry if it's already been asked/answered...I did do a search.

i've looked a few times and i don't see a # - what is the best to call. i've usually had really bad luck calling spring...

im still having a problem with data roaming and i think maybe sprint has changed something. ever since the beta ive had this problem. i was not able to force data evdo roaming on an alltell tower even though my girlfriends phone in the same room could on the sprint 2.17
now we are both on the newest sprint rom and this is what i can tell you, neither phone can force data evdo roaming. I can get them to see the evdo signal, but when i actually connect it wont work and drops back to 1x. this is with full evdo signal.
Another piece of this puzzle is when i am on automatic mode, when there is no sprint signal available, i can roam on evdo just fine. I think they may have changed something to not allow us to force data roaming in these new radios.

it sucks for me because i am in a fringe area for sprint and only get a weak 1x signal, which is enough to keep me from roaming on evdo
