OK, caching is simple... to improve performance, HTC uses Akamai servers all across the world. This means that you connect to a server closer to your physical location (in theory, there are other factors involved) than if you were to connect to HTC's actual servers.

bc of my lack of sleep and eagerness,.. i skimmed through that and nothing said "update available" whoever was doing the bruteforce stuff earlier.. do it again!
