Re: NexVision's Hybrid

Well as long as this thread has been completely successfully hijacked.... lol... I have to ask why anyone would prefer to buy a sprint phone at full retail and stick it to a verizon plan.
Unless the sprint phone is somehow better? Ah..I bet Sprint is getting it first right?

I beat up Sprint and all I have to show for it is this lousy
When you were in diapers and wetting the sheets I was out hacking with the ppcgeeks.

Actually from a few reviews that I read awhile ago the Sprint version is supposed to be better, based on the specs I seen.... don't know why.....Sprints version is the Rapheal and I believe the others are called the Herman if I remember what I read..

Re: NexVision's Hybrid

Well since we are jacking threads.....

The reason is 2 fold.

One the sprint version comes out about 6 months before the VZW version. And secondly becuase the Verizon version is "allegedly" VERY crippled in comparison. Memory, Processor, etc.

Hmm, the table says that the Sprint version doesn't have an SD Card expansion? What is up with that? If it doesn't have an SD slot, what expansion does it have?

The Sprint version has 4GB of installed internal memory... ie no expansion memory available.

Now thats nothing like being able to buy a 16GB SD card and install it I know, but I suppose it works for now. I will settle for less space (I use an 8gb card now) for a MUCH faster device....

Re: NexVision's Hybrid

Honestly I don't know what review to trust. But I don't trust that one. That doesn't appear to be comparing the Touch Pro versions.
Does anyone have a different spec sheet for Sprint vs Verizon version?

Here's a Sprint vs generic:
http://reviews.infosyncworld.com/cell-phones/compare/?name1=HTC+Touch+Pro+(Sprint)&name2=HTC+Touch+Pro& name3=&name4=&compare=Compare

actually for some reason the link just takes you to the site, you have to choose phone types to compare.

Re: NexVision's Hybrid

As I'm not in the market for a Verizon phone I really don't care if it's crippled, but would like others to be informed correctly, and that spec sheet that's going around might be misleading to some.

Nex, still working on the rom?
lol...apparently some of us will be jumping ship soon anyway.
