Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
Yeah, it would be great if this could turn into a LED/notification management program.
Currently I just use it to turn off the signal LED. |
Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
Just a thought, but once we figure out the addresses for the individual LED's and colors, couldn't a program be made that could control each one individually? Such as sms notification uses right red led in 250ms bursts? I would think this would also (because of the red/green/blue nature of the leds) allow us to define custom colors......just pushing informatoin out to the think tank :)

Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
1.5 has caused a problem on my xv6800.
I had version 1.2 installed and it was working. I uninstalled it, did a soft reset, and installed version 1.5. Now, when I try to run this new version, after a few moments it displays an error dialog. The title is, " Corrupt configuration detected" and the text inside the dialog itself says, "We have detected you have registry entries are corrupted. We can clean these for you but you will lose all your settings. Clean the registry?", followed by "OK" and "Cancel" buttons. Pressing the "OK" button produces a new error display. This time, it's not a dialog, it's an entirely different display. It says, "An unexpected error has occurred in nueLEDConfig.exe. Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information." The Details screen states that nueLEDConfig.exe caused an UnauthorizedAccessException at Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey.Win32Error() and a more... What's going wrong here? Thanks, Tim |
Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
you'll probably need to either hard reset, or stop the driver and reinstall it... 1.2 had a bug with not closing registry handles,..

Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
Great fun little app. I just wanted the signal to flash blue instead of green and it works great.
HOWEVER, I dream of someone taking this to the next level. Here's the scene: You're in a bar trying to hook up with a lady. You jokingly tell her you are undercover police or FBI or whatevery. When she scoffs, you whip out your "badge" (which is just a background pic of a badge on your phone.) then push a button to get the blue and red LEDs to flash alternately. Then say "I'm going to have to take you downtown for a strip search." At the very least, you got a conversation going! |
Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
Somehow i think that would lead you to the path of sleeping alone.
For me, i just dream of the day when the registers can be found that allow this app to truly disable the charging LEDs while allowing the notification LED to still operate. JD |
Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
i wish someone would kno whow to make the signal flash WHITE
now that would be gangsta. |

Has anyone figured out the Police Mod for this yet? Red then blue led alternative flashing instead of green signal LED flashing? |

I'm not saying that this kind of programming is beyond no2chem, it just seems like it would take some serious downtime to work all that out. (And isn't no2chem busy enough fulfilling all our other needs?) While farting around with other addresses, I found a weird result on Addr 4 Mode 8. It blinks yellow a few times before red flashes and kills it. This has me curious about why only modes 0-1-2 are cycled through when performing the auto test. Can we get it to cycle through more modes? |

Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
If you want to see a police like mod, google for vjplumbum. It will play the close encounters song and make your lights all flash in different sequences.
Reboot after playing with it to make your LEDs go back to normal. |

Hmm, I'll download it. Thanks Stroth. But I dont know if I need it, I only use it to turn off the green LED.

Is this all the possibilities? Or did I screw up the uninstall. I just want to be sure to cover all the bases. Thanks. Also, for anyone bored enough (like I am): the best way to cycle through all the is to set the speed SLOW. I Use 2000 ms. With 1.51 it would sometimes miss a blinking address because it skips by too fast. It will take some time to go through them all, but if you just set the phone up near your monitor, you can do other things and catch the led from the corner of your eye. |

If that's all you want to do then use the modified driver he created. That's what I currently do. It is also compatible with nueLED if you want more functionality. |

Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
I downloaded the program after the new ROM stopped taking the modded rilphone.dll, and it's working fine for killing the signal LED.
Then I got cute and tried to change my notification LED to the bluetooth one - having it blink next to the mail button was apt, I thought. It works when I get a new text (or whatever), but unfortunately, doesn't turn itself off after I read the text :( |
Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
I kinda like this might just try it

Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
Hi folks (my 1st post, so I hope I don't mess up!):
I found a program called KaiserNotification, designed to program LED's on the Kaiser/Tilt. Because nueLED works on the Kaiser, I decided to try KaiserNotification on my Mogul. It does seem to work, at least partially, on the Mogul. For example, I could set the phone service LED to blink green, amber or RED! Unlike the Mogul, the Kaiser seems to assign phone service and bluetooth to the same LED. So, when I programmed phone service "green" and bluetooth "red", I got flashing amber (green + red) -- not too useful. The "About" screen mentions 2 web sites, one of which may have information on LED programming. I'll leave it to experts like no2chem to track that down and see if it's useful. Here's a link to the program (use at your own risk!). I had to join the site (MoDaCo) before I could download. KaiserNotification Thanks, -- robinsondm |

Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
Just installed 1.5 in my Mogul, tried to remove Address 8 Mode 1 to stop the green led from flashing, still flashing. Put it back thinking it was the wrong LED. The removed Address 22 Mode 2, did nothing, put it back and got the registry corrupt error. Reinstalled, figured out that Address 8 was the correct one, removed it again, still blinking. Added it back and when I hit test, it blinks so it's the right one but what do I have to do to disable it?

Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
no2chem... I think I have an idea on controlling the frequency of LED flashes.
Its very similar to what you already have implemented into the LED address runthrough.. You could make a flashing pattern configurable with speed, and have the nueLED program send the command every time the light has to flash. For the police light mod, you could have the red and blue flash every 250 ms, and have one of them at a 125 ms offset. You probably are buried under work, but do you think this will work? |
Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
The new and updated from HTC, come with the Mogul.

Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
Question... I managed to get the blue tooth light to blink instead of my original green led but however its on the opposite side. (near the little envelope button) i thought it would blink where the original green led did. any help?

Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
that led is physically in that spot...

Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
I've got a reproducible "problem". In nueLED, I have the charging LED (Addr 22, Mode 1) set to disabled. If the screen is on when I plug the charger in, the LED is in fact disabled. If I turn off the screen though, the orange charging light comes back on. Turning on the screen again does not change this. If I enter nueLED and do a Extra->Reset LEDs, the charging light goes off... until the screen turns off and it turns back on.
I have reproduced this using multiple flashes of various versions of multiple ROMs. I've searched the thread, and have only found one similar report to this. Let me know if I can be of further assistance in tracking this down. |
Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
Thanks Radar...
But when my battery is low the red light comes on where the original is and so does orange. so i figured why not blue. ok so I got my signal led to blink blue (near the little envelope) can i also add something to the other led so that it can blink as well? (near the "e") Thanks, |

It redirects their addresses so you can swap one existing function with another. This means you will not be able to get any color you want (purple) or make it flash faster or both at the same time. Although I bet NueLED2 will have something along those lines. (No2Chem: Just making sure this makes your top 30 to-do list. :D |
Re: nueLED - configure/customize your LEDs...
Kraygh thanks for a better understanding. I will be looking out for this nice app.

http://www.geekandproud.net/blackber...colorpearl.zip here is the thread http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...e_options.html is there a way of mayb going into it and being able to pull the hex codes or mayb a way to rewrite the program a lil to have 000000 codes |
