One thing I have noticed with some older/other CE ROMS is username and password are required. What happens is the phone dials #777 over and over.

Set username/password
1. START-> SETTINGS-> CONNECTIONS-> CONNECTIONS-> TASK-> Manage existing connections
2. Edit CDMA1X #777
3. NEXT-> NEXT until username/password
4. username: areacodetelephonenumber@mb.telusmobility.com (ie 1235550987@mb.telusmobility.com)
5. password: esndec (ie the number on the phone under the battery)

Going to WM6.1
1. Hard-SPL-240-MFG.exe
2. Titan_Radio_3.27.00.exe
3. Run dcd 2.3.1 Kitchen
4. Wait 5min
5. Dial *22803
6. 1 for english
7. 1 for program codes
8. Wait 5min
9. Dial *22803
10. 1 for english
11. 2 for roaming codes

Going to Original Rom
1. Titan_Relocker.exe (this restores original bootloader)
2. Telus_HTC_P4000_WM6_07252007.exe
3. Wait 5min
4. Dial *22803
5. 1 for english
6. 1 for program codes
7. Wait 5min
8. Dial *22803
9. 1 for english
10. 2 for roaming codes
WOW! This post has given me some hope again for using a WM6.1 w/ 3.27 radio ROM. A few days ago, I regretfully flashed back to an older ROM and had temporarily given up on all of this until there were further, more positive looking developments. I recall it did infact keep asking me for a username and password, and would redial #777 over and over and over... Also, the information for username and password you provided rings a bell. That phone number@mb.telusmobility.com looks very familiar. As a matter of fact, I just looked at my current (older style ROM) and in Device Information the "ESN" shows up, as well as "current username" (under "Version" in device settings). I can't say for sure, but I am pretty sure this informatin did NOT show up in my wm6.1 w/ 3.27 radio rom. I am going to try this right now and hope (and think it will) work. HLouie, thanks so much for this above post!

Re: Data on TELUS WM6.1 GPS roms

Do I have to activate my P4000 before the *22803 update ?
I get message that my phone isn't eligible for over the air update.

Re: Data on TELUS WM6.1 GPS roms

With the message "Phone isn't eligible for over the air update". Some say all this is not necessary, but it always works of me everytime. I've had instances where the autoprogram works but the roaming updates do not. Just power down, wait 5min and try again.

1. You need to physical power off and on (NOT SOFT RESET/HARD RESET) I just remove the battery and reinstall.
2. Wait 5min.
3. Then try the autoprogram mode *22803 1 1 , and don't forget the roaming update *22803 1 2.
4. Phone out to a local number

YOU NEED TO BE IN YOUR LOCAL DAILING AREA and EVDO or 1X

Re: Data on TELUS WM6.1 GPS roms

Telus is fixing their system. Sometimes its down ( mostly weekends) .
If you can make and recive calls you dont have to do *22803.
Other option is you can do it manually. i belive its ##mslcode# .. you have to know your MSID and MDN. which can be found from an old telus phone if you had one on your account or you should note it down before you flash.

If you Unlock - > update OS rom then update radio , chances are your settings will stay intact.

Re: Data on TELUS WM6.1 GPS roms

click on espt in windows folder.
select edit.
enter msd code.
press view info (left soft key)
select Nam settings.
press Mobile Directory Number (MDN) until you get "edit" context menu.
select edit.
enter MDN.

EDIT:
i think MDN is always your phone number.
MSID can be or can not be your phone number.

Re: Data on TELUS WM6.1 GPS roms

Question for all those on TELUS networks...do you all have a "username/password" filled in for the #777 data connection? (I don't at all which is why I'm wondering...but it works just fine.)
