I think this is the hybrid mode. It's not that my phone can't get a lock at all, it was only because I intentionally placed it in a poor reception area. I can do the same thing with data off and wifi on and sit outside for a few minutes and it will work.

I'll test without the registry setting and with it on and edit this post.

WM6.1 no2chem

testing with google maps

Results:
Without the reg it took exactly 40 seconds to connect to 4 satellites. I connected to the 5th in about 1 minute later. (Odd, it have taken 6 minutes at times just to connect to 1)

adding reg hack and reseting.

After the reg hack it took 9 seconds to connect to 4-5 satellites (started on 5 then bounced back and forth a bit. This works and there I am sure of it. No matter what anyone says, I have my own proof.

I didn't realize you tried both ways. Awesome.

Yeah, this works FLAWLESSLY.

I'm sitting in my bedroom right now I got 8 satellites in about a minute. Used to not get any sats in my room at all and only 5 when walking outside.

I will say this though... when it can't lock on to a real satellite, it puts me WAY off from where I am... about 5 miles off or so. Then once it gets a real sat fix, I'm good.

This so wrong. It take me 5 - 10 (sometimes longer) to get a lock outside with clear sky. I never dreamed of geting a lock inside a room, evern in front of a window. Make me think someting wrong with my gps antenna.

Something is up with your device dude.

But then again, which ROM are you running because IMHO, that's relevant. I'm running no2chem's build 5046.
