Re: Enabling A-GPS (Assisted GPS) on WM6.1 ROMS

I set this entry yesterday and ran the GPS on my ride home, having it give me turn by turn to my house. Getting a lock was no quicker than without the change, but I did get 2 more satellites on average than before. Tracking was not any more accurate though.

I don't think it hurts anything, but I did not see any improvement.

Re: Enabling A-GPS (Assisted GPS) on WM6.1 ROMS

This doesn't work on WM6.1, right?
AFAIK I need to have AGPS disabled on WM6.1 in order to obtain GPS fixes (at least - with IGO.
Thanks.

The newest Official Sprint Titan/Mogul ROM (WM 6.1) does not need any modification for GPS to work.

WORKS EXTREMELY well for me. Picks up MORE satellites, much quicker than before even inside my house. Try it and see if it makes a difference for you! Don't forget to reset/cycle power once you change the reg setting.

I have sprint Mogul (PPC6800) running on the latest sprint ROM (version 3.56.651.0) with wm6.1. I have GPS enabled, but I want A-GPS too for quicker GPS fix and better fix during cloudy days or in streets surrounded with tall buildings. I tried this hack, but after soft resetting the new value changes back to the default value. How did you get your new value to stay after soft reset? Thank you for the info.
