I think my favorite part though, is that for months, A bunch of us (including me posting links to specs) were going "It has GPS, the hardware is there, the antenna is tri/duplexed, it will work" and we spent months getting bashed for saying that it has GPS and no one believed it was there.

Now... Its there, and everyone is yelling because they dont have something they never expected to have in the first place.

Ya know I dont care what anyone thinks... If there wasnt so many false rumors out there we would all be happy... But to each their own.. Check every day check multiple times per day... Who cares... I know I wont be checking any time too soon... But lets see 2 weeks away... Just in time for well Planned Vacation LOL... Again like I said before I will check when it comes closer and get a for sure yes or no date...

Actually , having been intimately familiar with how /\/\ froze features off in firmware, I was 95% sure that this was the case with the 6800 (and still, I believe, with the 6700 as well).

They are Expecting it to be released Mar 10th.. It has been finalized and they are "Testing" the final version at Sprint... It was stated that They will be hitting up the forums and making it very well known about the update...

It was supposed to be released a few weeks back but there was a bug they caught and decided to delay the update to fix the bug... It will not have Picture mail. It will not have WM 6.1 (slated for a june-ish update)...

Of course this is just a rumor But I will say its from a very reliable source. We will all see on the 10th... I will check a little closer to the date..

Well...once Sprint/HTC posts the update for download will I believe it actually exists. Hopefully with the next release they will resolve the Bluetooth issues I experience with the Jawbone headset (volume level at both end of the convo to low) and introduce other goodies the device should have already had several months ago (GPS, Rev "A", Win 6.1, etc.).

But that's just me.

But to repeat my earlier remarks, this thread wouldn't be so long and tempers wouldn't be so short if Spirnt and HTC would get their acts together and engage in a little communication with their customers

I wonder if the 'unlimited everything' program is timed to coincide with the release of the new rom. (well, this is the speculation thread)

Wishful thinking I believe. Most of the carriers and manufactures drag their feet on releases so the public will purchase the newest and greatest device with more issues than their previous. LOL
