people having the Error building default.hv and user.hv that is a reg error the only way to fix this is to have some fun and find out with oem is dupilacated. It requires you checking and unchecking the oems in build os to find out where the error is. LOL welcome to kitchen building cause thats just the beging.

I get a different error, this is in the log file:

importing registry file ".\boot.rgu"...
Failed to parse value name HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\AutoLoad\ EXT_FLASHDRV!!!
InitRegistry FAILED in file ".\boot.rgu" within a few lines of line 337.
BuildBootHive: (RGUComp) !ERROR failed importing ".\boot.rgu"
wmain: (RGUComp) !ERROR failed building BOOT hive

The line 337 in boot.rgu is:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\AutoLoad\ EXT_FLASHDRV]
"DriverPath"="Drivers\\BuiltIn\\EXT_FLASHDRV" <---- line 337
"L

any suggestion?

I'm really wanting to know how to convert .cab files into OEM's.

It looks like the OEM's are all the files contained in the .cab however I don't understand how the registry changes from a .cab get carried over into the OEM's and stuff???????

EDIT: I'm having the same problem with BuildIt.exe only creating a 1K file out of No2Chem's base. I haven't made a single change after processing prepit.bat. Yes it's doing it with his BaseKit files in addition to his nbh.

ERR, I needed to run BuildOS BEFORE BuildIt.

NEVERMIND: That didn't make a difference. I still can't anything other than a 1K nbh.

If you look towards the bottom it shows you the directory it failed in. Makes it a bit easier to troubleshoot.

it look like the boot.rgu files is truncated. It's located under the Rom/xip folder

Glad i could help everyone help everyone get their feet wet with regards the more advanced stuff with our phones. About the errors you guys are getting, i cant really help much here (as i dont even know all that much lol), but chances are if you search google/xda you will find people who have had those errors before (what i did). If your getting errors at user.hv, that means problem with registry entry (who knows what, check the log file). This kitchen stuff is alot of trial and error it seems.

Is anyone else getting really low free memory, like 9-13mb, after a custom rom? I didn't add that much stuff and nothing is really running from what I can see but when I flash with either of the base roms I can get around 23mb free. Do these programs kill the RAM that bad?
