Hrm...anyone know why I can't use the "buildit.exe" to create a new nbh file? The new file i get is only 1KB in size, which can't be right!

<EDIT: OK it's because I'm a moron and I didn't run it as as admin in Vista. LOL.>

<2nd EDIT: uhh...actually, it only works on DCD's rom...not nueROM's. Weird.>

Now, a question... Earlier tonight, I built a rom using DCD's 2.2.. The only thing I changed was to add cricket customizations and delete the alltel customization OEM... However, when I built my new rom, none of my ## codes work. Any ideas why? they work just fine in the DCD rom.
Bumping this post.

Anyone?

If you used DCD's rom, you have to find out what it already has included. I think we should actually be using a naked rom for this, rather than DCD's or No2Chem's ROM. Not that theirs are bad or anythign, they just already have stuff included. If you check something they already have (i.e. vogue dialer), you will get a conflict when you hit play in BuildOS.

I just got this myself. I'm guessing the alert could happen if buildit.exe calls batch files, which it seems that it does. Oddly, the build continued and completed correctly. I have checked the box to allow it to run and unchecked the box so it doesn't delete it.

Everytime I try to do buildOS (after resolving all conflicts of trying to add software that already exists in DCD) I get an error "Error building default.hv and user.hv" when it goes to create registry. Any suggestions?

And thank you very much for the walkthrough, it is just what I've been looking for!

That means you're trying to add something that's already built into the ROM you're using. If you look at the bottom of that window, it'll show you what you added that's causing the problem. Changing the dialer skin caused problems for me. Also, i got the problem sometimes for no reason and had to restart BuildOS to fix it.

Yeah I started searching through DogGuy's original thread and saw someone had the same error. For me I had to look at the log and it ended up being a TCPMP reg edit that was the culprit. Thanks!
