http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=21167 The are tested on Verizon, but should work for any non-Verizon carrier that doesn't need a specific MSL code set on their PST (just uses 000000) and doesn't require the IOTA cab. |

For Telus P4000 Users PLEASE ADD TO STEPS
If GETSPC or MSL Generator is not getting you the right MSL # to unlock your P4000, IT WON'T. My ESN(HEX) # had nothing to do with my MSL # 12hours of vigorous searching presented me with this!
Posted here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...204#post126204 BY bunvilla>>>>>>THANK YOU <<<<<<< * Change the following registry entries in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\ATDbgLog Enable: 1 LogMode: 1 * Wait a reasonable amount of time and soft-reset (I have noticed that it seems to take longer for this value to take affect, so if you reboot and the registry values are not changed, then you need to do it again and wait longer) * Check to see that the file \Temp\ATDbg0.txt has been created. * Return the values back to what they were (most likely 0) waiting the same amount of time as above. * Look in the ATDbg0.txt file and you should see a log of commands sent to the CDMA radio and there should be something like this somewhere in the file: Mine was the entry #71 11:9:3 Rx:+HTC_RMSL: ######\r\n0\r the "######" is your MSL to unlock your P4000

That's great info Bugs!!! Now, is this the way to get the MSL before flashing or is this the way to get the now "corrupted" MSL after flashing to the Sprint ROM? Edit: If you have success flashing, maybe you should help other Telus users by writing a guide like I did for Verizon. Or if you tell me what changes, I'll add lines to mine for Telus. Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading
oh, I thought you need the stock bootloader to update with carrier roms and just use olipro for cooked roms!

Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading
Sprint stock loader works, but not others. It's got to be unlocked to flash a Sprint ROM onto a non-Sprint phone in my experience. I got the same error loading the leaked 3.16 ROM until I loaded Olipro 2.4. That's why these directions need some sort of disclaimer..."SPRINT ONLY" But instead they just say "Easy Guide" Misleading.
