It's real. Those who are claiming it's fake either (a) haven't actually used it or (b) are going by the standard edition video on bgr. As for it not looking that different, it's called 6.1 and not 7 for a reason. The performance is much snappier. It isn't just that it's a clean ROM. I've used clean rom's (no2chem's) in the past, and this is much more responsive.

snappier how, and where?!? everyone keeps on talking about the 6.1 rom being faster but if u noticed in his video.... he had only 5mbs of ram left. he coulda had all that stuff running in the background so WHO KNOWS! nothing too impressive wasnt even shown in the video. jus like everyone said, jus a screen that say wm6.1 pro.... is that all? and i dont think that im going to wait on a rom jus for its pie zoom features. pie is still almost internationally known to be one of the worst web browsers. even if u watch boygenius's video, its functions were still not impressive and browsing the web page looked painfully difficult still on a so called "upgrade". so i dont think that web browser alone can keep alot of people here waiting for this rom. besides......... skyfire has that pie browser BEAT. if u want to wait on something, wait for that

Actually it's the video in the 2nd post of this thread and the screenshots I've seen that look fake. It looks like a cheesy theme modified HTC Home, nothing like a real Microsoft product.

I still think it's like I suggested earlier, WM6.1 apps extracted and implanted into a WM6 base. Then some goofball went and hexedited some version numbers, adds a modified HTC Home, and packages it as "WM6.1".

Even this really early test version of WM6.1 at this site is such an early build that it's built on a WM6 core (5.2.1620), and that's only 3-days old.

I don't think what you guys have is even a beta OS. I'll personally wait till a "pure", unadulterated release version is extracted from the ROM of a shipping device.

If someone could youtube a video of a the 6.1 ROM without any modifications, that would be great. The boy genius video had an interesting interface, and I am curious to see if there a change in the pro version interface. I would love to see a stock WM6.1 ROM, doesn't even have to be clean (but definitely not an extended ROM).
The real issue here is that the boy genius report is from a motoQ, which is a smartphone, and may have had its own interface modifications; and the one matt did had a lot of 3rd party apps installed that made it look very different.
I personally don't like installing 3rd party apps if I don't have to, I think that's just a carryover from my PC habits. But there it is, so a stock/clean ROM video would be awesome. Thanks

Because it was a MotoQ. There are 2 videos of WM6.1 out there. One is posted by the boy genius report on a MotoQ. The other is indeed a Mogul posted by matt from this forum.

We wish it was the Mogul. I could only imagine how sweet that interface would be on one! The threaded SMS program looks exactly the same as No2Chem nueROM's, but some of the other stuff just looks... sexier.
lol wow this is real i got it from here. damn the look and style i did myself.

@matt19,

Don't let a couple of idiots ruin the site for you. You did a good job on the video and the personalization.
