This is the thread for nueROM 2.0, based on WM 6.1 release.

I updated to the latest official release of WM6.1 from the leaked Kaiser roms. XIP has been ported too, seems like it had some new memory management features too. Enjoy, and let me know if you encounter problems. As a quick test of speed, try going to file explorer and opening the windows directory.

This is a clean rom, so it doesn't have much on it. YOU MUST USE THE NEW BOOTLOADER (Olipro 2.40) for this rom to work.

THE ONLY OFFICIALLY SUPPORTED KITCHEN IS THE PPCGEEKS KITCHEN. If you have an existing installation, you can update using provided basekits. **Known issues:
GMAIL users are forced to use POP3 Email due to auto-detection (EDIT: Omegax posted a fix: type in gmail wrong and fix it later).
(5050+) = crashes imgfstools on nbmerge. You'll need to manually repair the partition table before using nbmerge.
(5050+) = PLEASE TAKE OUT YOUR BATTERY AND PUT IT BACK IN, THEN HARD RESET AFTER FLASHING. The new partition table requires a full reset.

Please post any requests in this thread and I will try to do my best to accomodate them, provided that it does not involve adding applications to the rom. IF you find out how to fix something, please post it so I can fix it in my next release.

If you are new to flashing, please read this provided by quantumforce1. No, your phone is not a brick if its on the tricolor screen.

Heh thanks no chem. =) I would have to do real benchmark but I just synced 400 contacts to my phone via usb in 30 seconds. I would say this is a 20% speed boost over all. This is badd fuc... a...!!!! You are the man no chem!!!

Ok then, there is one app that I would like CAB'd up from WM 6.1 if it's able to be done(and another thread can be made to post it), and that would be the Deepfish-ish PIE that I saw in some shots of WM 6.1.

If it can be done, reply via creating a new thread.

well, to be honest, PIE lags in wm6.1, i was considering putting the old PIE from WM6 back in...

Okay wow. This is getting much less credit than it deserves.

This ROM is MUCH zippier than prior ROMs and it seems to handle memory better too... example. I've got Opera open on Engadget, Gizmodo, Myspace, and DanceRecords and I've still got 6MB of RAM free and I'm able to browse them all with speed... on previous ROMs, TWO tabs and my device was slow as a dog.

I'll of course reserve my final judgment until I've used the ROM a lot more but so far, color me impressed.

damn...all these updates i dont know what to do lol... mogul is booting up as we speak no problems as of yet

smaller than the new 3.16 on the older aku seems quicker and am liking the task manager too....threaded sms is quick and smooth for me so far as well... good job!!!

Any news about EV-DO dropping problems??

thank god, ive been looking to get this new sprint rom off of my phone. hooray for this, now maybe my audio out adaptor will work correctly again :)

not so excited about new stuff in wm but im intrigued by the "faster faster" claims :)..if anything it's a small enough base ..it looks like ..judging from the less than 40 meg download..that i can throw in the kitchn and churn me out my own custom..

EDIT: okay its build on 3.16 so probably no luck on the audio out.. but its got a BUILT-IN TASK-MANGER!! it's about friggin time..

Doesn't look like PIE is anything near Deepfish in this release. In fact, its just a MUCH slower version of the old PIE...

Good thing I don't ever use PIE.

Sorry im new to all this, so what do i do with the .NBH file all the other rom's have been .exe's.

I think the PIE is the exact same as the other rom, maybe a lil quicker

What should I do if my mogul keeps rebooting after seconds on the homescreen after I put the new ROM on? Any Ideas

Cool everything installed ok, and pha working great. Just have one question is there a way to put Icons on the today screen. Is it done through the Registry?

How is performance on this wm6.1 compare to vm6. Also, how much memory left on this rom, wm6 with gps is about 24meg

After the Install no apps added, mem is at 22.5meg.
With Voice Command its at 21.5

The voice through the BT Headset is a little louder too with this rom. Wonder if they fixed the voice file or what ever that file was to make voice louder on the headsets. Also the Confirmations for Voice Command are working with the Rom too, Though it still has trouble with the notifications, though I don't use them anyway.

It means you haven't flashed Olipro's HardSPL properly. Try find the thread and flash again.

Also, will this ROM work with VZW verison of the Titan?

I can't sync with WMDC anymore... it just says "Syncing" indefinitely

Yes it should, as long as its unlocked, but your connection name will be "sprint pcs"...

weird.. you were able to sync earlier though, right?

restart both systems, and maybe disable advanced connectivity (in settings)

Same here...no WMDC sync. Luckily I was able to get all my contacts back through my exchange server.

Weird thing about the WMDC sync. I'll try to look into this, as I don't use WMDC myself...

I noticed your basekit did not include java and adobe while running the rom, yet there were some files left over in OEMAPPS.

I just deleted the remains.

yeah, i might not have cleaned it too thoroughly. I will look into it though.

Just to follow up.. I downloaded WMDC 6.1 from the MS site. It went through its install routine and updated some drivers. AFTER I reset my PC, WMDC seems to be back in business.

Internet connection problem

Has anybody experienced some problems with internet connection after upgrading this wm 6.1 rom? I cannot connect internet at all, please advise.. Thanks for all the great work.

I am able to get online right away.

I just hard reset it again and WMDC is working now. I already had 6.1 so I know that wasn't the problem.

Either way, I'm loving this new ROM. I can FINALLY use the tabbed browsing feature of Opera Mobile without freezing my device... I mean, Engadget alone is almost 2MB and so is Gizmodo... both running at the same time and there's maybe a 5 second lag when I click a new tab before I can start browsing on it.

I don't think I'm brave enough to test the part about alarms working when the device is in sleep mode yet though LOL

You DID upgrade your radio and bootloader before installing this rom, yes?
