can someone extract the threaded cab of this rom please....

Just flashed it. Great work!

The new Threaded SMS isn't as good as Palm Threaded SMS. When Palm SMS is installed, the Messaging app ceases to work; it won't even load!

I don't like how it shows the date above the time at the top. Is there an option to change that?

Overall ROM does feel a bit faster.

tried to flash this rom for 2hr and nothing :(

keeps going back to the previous installed rom after going through the whole thing. i unlocked with the new one and nothing... any help??

I have Microsoft Voice Command Build 1.6.17913 and to make it work I had to make a new sting value in hklm\software\oem\Voice Command\ and then made the sting value as name: path and the string value string: \Program Files\Voice Command\voicecmd.exe and then soft reset. Now I can make voice command work through my pantronics. That key just was not there. I hard reset three times and had the same issue. Strange. But it works for me now! Yay! Thanks again No2Chem

Well, I like NueRom 2.0 a lot, everything works fine except I cannot connect online, it keeps saying "page cannot be found" something like that. I think I don't have internet connection. Should I re-flash the rom? You input is very much appreciated.

drurc did you run provisions, I think somewhere on this site theres a file or cab for it.

well i lost every damn info in my phone LOL.. tried calling my voicemail and it was some weird number. then i think i have some stuff from the new rom mix in this 3.16 rom.. ow it happened i dont know but its still fun

everytime i try to run the rom upgrade utility i get error 100 wrong type i downloaded nuerom 2.0 build 5023 and than dragged over and ran the rom upgrade utility any ideas

Well it's 4:30 AM... I just flashed this, and I really wish I had gone to bed instead, but this is just too exciting...
I'll update with more in the morning/afternoon/whenever I get up haha

This is what I did, downloaded the bootloader from here: ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....rd-SPL-MFG.exe Then ran it, to extract the files to a directory. After it extracts the file it will run the batch file, you want to exit the batch window. You will run that batch file later. Deleted the NFB file in the directory that came with the bootloader.

Then Downloaded the Rom and extracted it, to the directory where the bootloader is installed. Then jsut run the .bat file and follow the instructions.

Do roms like this include the necessary sprint items to get your phone set up as quickly as it does for an oem rom release?

I flashed the 3.16 test rom with gps last week, and it runs great. Do these cooked roms include iota and what not so I can be up and running with minimal effort?

Also, since I already installed 3.16, does that mean my radio is already upgraded and I won't have to do anything with the radio before loading this rom with the new bootloader?

EDIT: I think I found what you were referring to....the post says "yes it should work...but your connection name will be Sprint PCS".

What does this mean? am I connecting thru Sprint? or the text on the screen will say Sprint?

You won't be connecting thru sprint it will only say sprint

its very unlikely you bricked your phone...going by the fact you only have 6 posts you may want to go read the flashing for dummies thread and do a little homework first. the odds of you bricking your mogul are very minimal.

Not completely sure as I haven't tried it.

I have been looking at this ROM and dcd's beta 2 to see if I can get the VZW stuff in to it. The ROM structures are different though as dcd broke the operator files out. If I get it working I will let you know.

i downloaded both the files the rom file as well as the the base 5023.rar
now how am i supposed to use the files inside the rar package.

Thanks for you quick responses. AS I said, I did read thru the thread, I just missed a sentence or two apparently.

But I have another important question. It seems there are still some provisioning questions. I had problems when I loaded dcd's GPS rom a couple days ago with not being able to connect to Verizon at all....had to call support...not fun trying to get help with fixing something I did that nulifies my warantee (sp?).

AnyWho...do you, obviously very smart individuals, think I will have similar problems with this rom?

Has any Verzon customer flashed this ROM?
Were you able to make and receive calls?

You lost your Akey which seems to be a common occurrence for our phone. Not a big deal really as you just tell them you needed to hard reset and it wouldn't work. If you write the Akey down you should be able to use it again if you run in to this problem after another flash.

Will it happen if you flash this ROM? Unknown. You will have to try and find out.

After playing around with this rom last night I noticed none of my ringtones will play and I cannot change my ringtone. I get stuck in the phone app and have to kill it. Anyone having issues changing ringtone and also having the ringtone acually play? Please let me know.

Yes I am getting the same thing, if I try to open any of my ringtones with Media player I get an error that states "The file cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists try reinstalling or restoring the file"

Okay. I've never flashed a ROM before but have read the Dummies guide and browsed the forums for months and I think I'm ready to try it.

A few questions remain:

1. Will the phone still register with Sprint's network on it's own as my phone, or will I have to call them up and activate it, etc...

2. If I want to go back to the stock Sprint 2.17 ROM, do I just download the ROM from HTCs site and reapply it? Do I need to re-lock the phone/bootloader?

3. What is basekit 5023?
