can anyone PLEASE post pics?

downloaded the new wm 6.1 rom, but how do you install the NBH file?

These arew just mp3 files that are ringtones. I guess this also means my music won't play so ringtone is kind of too specific.


Just tried it from the phone only and it seems to work, so I am guessing media player is just not associated with mp3 for some reason, I will check it out.

Tried it out some more, if I open the mp3 ringtones from within media player by clicking open file, they play fine, If I try to play one from the file explorer I get the error above, I just assumed the mp3 extension was set to play in media player by default and because the icons for the mp3s are a media player icon but maybe it is not...I will install memmaid and see if I can see how "mp3" is set up.

I assume you have already updated to the latest rom with GPS and Rev.A.
if so, then you need to do the latest update off of Olipro 2.4 found here

once you have fully updated to that.

download wm6.1 nbh

replace the nbh file that is in your directory from where you updated the Olipro 2.4

That is it...

edit: Oh yeah, then you have to run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe ;-)

I have a Verizon mod working now. With No2Chems permission I will post it.

Only minor changes. MMS works out of the box for Verizon, shows Verizon Wireless for the connection, I did not lose my Akey (your milage may vary as I have never had a problem with this).

Seems all most media file extensions are set to open with the string "purplemedia.exe -play" searching the net I can't find a media player named that so I gues it is an issue...note I am using the kitchen so this may not apply to the released rom, but I would think they would be the same in this respect.

Does this rom have the same roaming and locking onto the tower issues as the original beta rom?

I have noticed this issue as well. wma files also will not play, cays "cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate...."

For some reason, after the flash, my old DCD boot screen is still showing up. How can I clear that?

I think it is complaining beacuse it can't find purplemedia.exe which is what it is trying to play them in for some reason....

ok, i am running vista. i had to do the 3.16 update via microSD card. can this rom be done the same way? (i could not get the usb drivers to work on vista) if not, i guess i can go to work (day off) and do this on an XP machine...

great rom... now i just wish i could get someone to create me the oem bootscreen, n ill be back in business

Is this the screen that loads with the ROM/Radio versions?

can anyone let me know if you get audio out via an adaptor for standard headphones? that was a problem with many of the roms based off of the leaked gps.

hey no2chem I see you updated your basekit to correct the AKU listing. Did you edit anything else in it yet? I know you just put it together and its still early.

The audio files not having the correct associated file type seems to be the only big thing I have seen. Not sure if you fixed it in the new build. I also found an easy way to remove all the files left over from java and adobe and any other OEM app sprint included...

EDIT: also noticed on first boot, and occasionally other boots, the start bar at the top shows when not supposed to (still booting) with the start menu icon center of the top bar. After the today screen loads, then there is no start icon in top right, however if you click in that spot, it appears and stays.

My bat. life seems better and everything flows much better. The mogul has had more updates in the past week than in its lifetime lol

Is anyone else having trouble finding a gps signal with this rom? Im in GPS viewer and it seems like its finding sats but not getting a location on me....

i love the rom is is really fast but doesnt let me change the comm manager

sprint navagation was working for me earlier, don't think its a 6.1 issue... maybe find a more open area?

I found the issue. Not sure what the heck purpleplayer is, but the rgu in mediaos has a bunch of weird entries.

Quick question. I used the unlocker and that worked fine. I then downloaded the new rom and extracted the .nbh into the directory with the updater. Ran the batch file and got to the tri-color screen with it showing spl 2.40. Then I get to the part where I need to disconnect and reconnect my device but once I do that, my computer doesn't recognize the device anymore and when the RUU starts, I always get an "error 260: connection". Any tips?

Yea i dont know. Like it pops up showing like 9 sats but then goes back to none

Not sure if anyone else is having Memory issues but I have no memory it seems like. With a hard reset, I have ~21MB. THen after a few programs, ~40 contacts and other PIM data, and no additional today screen items, I have ~17MB. And it keeps draining down to ~12-13MB. I use Oxios CloseApp and that usually recovers 2-3MB but that's still so much less.

I believe if you on the tricolored screen you should be able to just flash it with the RUU utility. As far as I can remember that is how I did it.

Right, but from the bootloader screen the RUU (and my computer) don't recognize the device so it claims it's not plugged in anymore and I get connection errors.

it looks just like wm6 cept it has threaded sms and a task manager.

i am loving this rom built in threaded sms is a good enough reason to upgrade the .1..

I know these issues are probably covered
- wm files not playing
- text message count doesnt clear
- had to call sprint to re activate my phone

still trying to get my internet to work i will edit once i get that going if i ever get it working lol

hehe as no2chem said, there really is not much difference has new sql utility, threaded sms looks cool, updated windows live version, rest physically looks the same. Also has domain support.

I tried just running the RUU but obviously that wouldn't work because while it can get to the flashing part, it's got the wrong SPL loaded. When I use the Olipro 2.40 one, as soon as it loads the 2.40 bootloader, the computer and the RUU can't see my device anymore so I can't flash.

hey which files do i dl from the ftp? currently ive taken every file with the 5023 on it and is there a readme for this?

there you go thats the only new thing on there, if u have palm sms then u know what they threaded text look like and if u have 3.16 u know what every thing else looks like

I ran into the same problem and this is what i did. Reboot your phone and then run the unlocker and follow the steps again. When it gets to the part were it looks like its installing a rom its really just installing the unlocker. Once that is done u will be at the bootloader screen. Once your there just run the Ruu install utility with the rom of your choice included and your set! It wil install the Rom. I,m a noob at this too lol.

I've been trying that but halfway through verifying my phone's settings in the RUU, I lose USB connection to my phone. Plugging it in changes the phone's readout from 'serial' to 'USB' but the computer won't see it anymore and that includes the RUU. Then I get a connection error.

I tried just running the unlocker and getting it to the bootloader screen. Then I tried doing the RUU with and without unplugging/replugging. Essentially as soon as I hit the temporary 2.40 bootloader tri-color screen, Activesync loses its awareness of the phone and won't let me do anything until I soft reset. I can't even run exitbl because it can't see the phone.

One thing I have noticed is that when I plug the phone back in within the 2.40 bootloader, it doesn't make the usual sound of a USB device connecting. It gives me 3 "dings" in rapid succession. It might just be this crappy work computer not detecting it properly when I plug back in.

load the ruu on a microSD card (i named it TITAIMG.nbh - don't know if i had to, but i did) and after bootloader shows 2.4 olipro on the screen disconnect usb and put mem card in the phone, then soft reset phone. it should start to load from the card.

that's how i did it.

oops... i flashed the first rom not the one that has the wma fix's in it... now i amdoing it again. i'll be a rom flashin expert by the end of this

i did have to change the name of the file to TITAIMG.ruu for it to work (i am sure this was said somewhere, but i'll say it again.)


everything is good as far as the install goes. i need to find a voicedialer though...
