No2chem, how did you get around the nbmerge issue?

IrDA enabled by default- not shown under settings.

Not sure if it's just me, but on 6.1 ROMs (not just No2Chem) I find IrDA (infrared) enabled even when it shows disabled in Settings->Connections->Beam.
It shows as active in CommManager- just add IR as Default under HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager\0 or any other 0..6 entry and it will be possible to toggle it On/Off, but it never changes under Settings->Connections->Beam.

This is not just soft setting- tested it with IrDA on notebook. Actually this is how I noted the issue- notebook makes sound every time it finds IR device and even IR was "disabled" on the phone, my notebook was still beeping when the phone was around.
This could potentially drain the battery.

WeatherPanel does not work for me either. Gets stuck at the Windows 6.1 boot screen.

Additionally, for some reason Resco Keyboard won't take. I have tried everthing I can think of even the SIP changer cab.

Runs faster for sure, but I sure do love my weather panel.

Very interesting. I thought my battery life seemed somewhat worse than 2.17, but didn't want to say anything. I forced Comm Manager to show IR, and even though unchecked in settings, it is turned on. Thanks for the tip!

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread

Hrm...ok, here's a "dumb" question. Is there any way to get the ordinary, plain old, un-skinned dialer in a cab file? I know you can disable the skin in the Schapps tools, but it still doesn't look like/function like the "old" dialer in 5050 and under. I think it could be the smart dialing function i'm looking for, but I'm not sure. Anyone have any ideas? BTW, thx no2chem again for this 5051 build...its fast...REAL fast!!!

Okay so it's been hours since flashing. Drove home and tested GPSViewer and Live Search. OMGosh: GPSViewer sync'd up from coldness in less than a minute. And Live tracked fine.

I have since loaded all the rest of my software.

Very fast ROM... so far, rock solid as well.

You DID read the sticky right??? What you are downloading is the nbh file, the ROM itself. In the sticky page, there's a link to the RUU - ROM update utility if I'm not mistaken. The RUU is run on the computer. So are the radio upgrades and the unlocking utility. Keep in mind this WILL WIPE ALL THE DATA you have on your phone.
