I'm sorry if this is a stupid question....

I've been using DCD's ROM's lately. He makes a version for each different carrier.

Are No2Chem's ROMS for 1 particular carrier, or do they work with any carrier?

Verizon... XV6800.

I tried searchign this thread for the answer, but its soo long now its difficult to find out...

It SEEMS like No2Chem is a Sprint user, so not sure if his rom is compatible with VZW or not.

im sure the rom is compatible with vzw, everything would probably just say sprint on it.
someone on this thread said they made a vzw version of this rom, so you might want to look into that.

No2Chem,

Has the full backup issue with SPB been resolved in 5045 with those 3 files I mentioned to you a few builds back? I noticed it wasn't in 5043 still...

nueUpdate 0.1beta - Is this being installed from the ExtROM so that it's user removable VIA the remove programs? I appreciate your apps because they are vanilla and while I understand this is an added feature, I feel it should be left up to the user to remove it or not.

This rom does have the Sprint startup animation & Sprint PCS data connection bubble. However both can be remedy easily and do not impair your carrier-specific operations/functions from operating correctly if not changed...

To change the Sprint PCS data bubble follow these steps:

Go to Start-->Settings-->Connections-->Connections...

1. Click on "Manage Existing Connections".
2. Click on "Edit" to change the name of the Srint PCS #777 to your carrier.
3. Under "Enter a name for the connection", enter your carrier's name.
4. Click "Next"
5. Enter the number your carrier utilizes for data connection.
6. Click "Next"
7. Enter the values for "Username", Password", and Domain. For me, Username was (phone # @Alltel.com. Password was left blank and so was domain.
8. Click "Finish". Another dialog box should prompt you to save this connection. Again, save it as your carrier's name.

Now...

To disable/modify the Sprint startup animation/sound:

You will need a registry editor of personal choice (I use Total Commander). I will not go into detail regarding making animations nor sound formats. I will provide the location for your own maodification...

Go to-->HKLM-->Software-->HTC-->StartupAnimation.

Make changes here as you see fit.
