It doesn't seem to. However, I have not installed everything yet as I am customizing for myself.

I had noticed some of the earlier ROMs required reset after some programs but not all.

I installed the WM6.1 update and everything seemed to go off without a hitch.
The load was much snappier, quicker to respond than ever before. Even came loaded with threaded SMS. I love it! GPS worked yesterday all day. Awesome!

This morning, different story. The only difference is that I had my alarms go off this morning but there didn't seem to be any conflict. I got in the car to come to work, fired up the GPS and when I launch GoogleMaps and turn on the GPS function, the phone freezes. Any time GPS is turned on by an app, the phone freezes and needs a reboot.

Any ideas?

I'm using ROM: 3.16.651.0, Radio: 3.27.00 and WM6.1

Also, I've read through this thread twice, and I'm a bit confused.
What is the current load that everyone is using? What is there/isn't there that everyone wants?

gps is working fine for me, im using sprint nav.

Not sure if its the custom build I created or something else, but the memory usage is pretty bad. My memory starts off around 17 or 18mb and then decreases as I open apps, but it doesn't release it. I started opening a lot of apps and got down to 2mb at which time it started killing off apps like it should. However, I closed all the apps and still only had 2mb. For some reason, its not releasing memory on my build.

Just wondering... in SKtools, my tcp window size on all of the previous roms use to be 32768...I useto change it to 98304 for better performance. When i went into it just a little while ago, it is telling me that the tcp window size is amazingly at 415030???? that is rediculously bigger than any other rom i have ever used. no2 any ideas why this could be? Does it have anything to do with the new xip?

And could this be why there is less memory available?

Weird, my build seems to be releasing memory fine. I actually just tested opening 15 programs, went down to 2mb, still ran smoothly, and closed all of them, going up to 15mb...

Not sure, tcp window might be configured by wm6.1, don't think it has anything to do with memory, memory has to do more with caching.

I see it is your first post, so I start off by saying welcome to PPCGeeks.. I am sure you will find this site very handy and the people here very helpful. I will also, kindly and politely tell you that the information you seek about installing this ROM is all over the forum, even in this thread and there are several others with very detailed steps for installing this. I advise you try the search (get yourself familiar with it) and then, if you are unable to find the answers you seek ask away. There are many very kind people here who are always willing to help, especially help those who at least try to help themselves first :-) *hint check the ppcgeeks ftp site for about everything you could dream of. (click QLINKS at top and open ftp site)

For some reason I've never been able to open the FTP site from home although it works from work. Turned off my home network's firewall and still no dice. It's getting blocked by something.

Can somebody who has the file post it somewhere I can access it other than the FTP site?

Thanks in advance!

Are you running any spyware or adware blockers? Some restrict header information etc and simply adding ppcgeeks.com to the trusted area can make all the difference. If that doesn't help, I could upload what you need to rapidshare or something if you need. (if someone hasn't done it already.
