Yea I did that, I used his rom before, maybe I screwed up when trying to flash back to the official Sprint Rom, but the only reason I tried to was cause version 5060 had my phone stuck in a constant reboot, the only time it didn't reboot was when it was plugged into the usb.

what radio ROM did you have before if you were trying to flash to Sprint's current one? the one from alltell?

i thought flashing 3.35 or any of the newer custom ROMs with olipro 1.20 bricked your device or something. regardless, sorry i couldnt help you bkl, but check though the thread ppc noob posted above.

i dont think it would. i could be wrong, but usually mismatching bootloader 1.20 w/ 3.35 ROM causes the never-ending reset (unless plugged into pc some users say)

but if it wont load the OS, to reload it, enter bootloader:
aftr u got your bootloader ver, u can flash compatible ROM

Thanks for the help guys I'll try it tomorrow and let you know how it worked out. Just one last question when you want to flash back to the offical Sprint rom do you flash the locker first or after you try installing the rom, perhaps that's where my problem began.

Question for you guys, I have this rom installed with other programs i use, but i notice that when i hit the green button (make call) and the dial pad comes up, the left soft key shows as blank, no text. But if i press the LSK the contacts come up. Anyone else notice this?

Running 5058

Thanks

Same on 5060, but didn't notice it until you mentioned it. I use SPB Mobile Shell's contacts features, so I never noticed the lack of this entry. Good to know the blank spot works, though.

I like SPB a lot, but i like the quick access through 2 buttons. I use my softkeys for taskmanager and lock, what about you?

I have a holster, so I never lock my phone. I've got them set to Dial Tab and SPB Menu. Gives me instant access to picture dialing (and in the bottom right of that is the button for their contacts which is ten times faster than the built-in app), and instant access to their program launcher. For Task Manager, I have my mail key set to open the SPB Task Manager when I hold it for a few seconds, but I rarely use that. Usually I just tap-and-hold the X button area on the Today screen (I have my Voice Command button set to take me to my Today screen).

Doesn't the "end call" red button take you to the today screen also? Not sure if its something else I installed or not but I thought that was default.

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread

It does for me. One press ends the call another and you are back at the home screen. It must be default and I like it.

From what I can tell, it's a bit slower, as it seems to close each application individually. Also thanks to Bluetooth I frequently use my phone while on a call, so it comes in handy to have a button to get to Today that doesn't end the call.

i vote for requesting a new sub-forum under Titan Upgrades just for no2chem so that new threads can be started for each release.

working on some apps to make the experience better, especially for people new to custom roms. (nueFirstBoot agent)

also, finished a replacement to the poweroff warning (nueShutDown)

once again, no eta on 5062. 5060 doesn't have any pressing issues, and the PPCKitchen team has been really good about fixing and catching new issues in 5060.

I will branch off into nueROM 2.1 starting with build 5062. This thread has become huge, so I think branching off will make things more manageable.

A sub-forum just for n2c's builds would be nice, but i'd say it's unlikely the mods would allow it... it's easy enough to keep track of his threads cause they pretty much stay at the top of the forum.

See the first post that i quoted where n2c said he'll be killing off this thread and starting a new one with build 5062.

Well, I thought the thread was too long, but there had to be something we can do right?

Why not run 2 threads, 1 current and 1 depreciated? That way you can have all of the old posts in 1 thread, and the current release in another?

I've never been this excited for a ROM. My phone will finally be able to levitate, kick people in the butt, and commit homicide on startup? I don't know how no2chem does it!

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread

I switched over to DCDs rom while i wait for 5062. My only custom rom experience was with n2c. So I figured while we wait, I'de give it a shot.

it's pretty cool. Works right away and fixes a lot of problems that i had with no2chems builds. UC had no issues and WeatherPanel works! And on UC even!

That being said, I'll probably switch back over to n2c when his new rom comes out. DCD is a little too buggy for me. A great rom. tons more available memory than n2c and all around faster impressive rom.

But I have never had to soft reset this many times with any of n2c roms. Speed is nice, but I'd rather have a more stable rom.

I switched to dcd in the meantime too, and although I found it a little bit more responsive and fast, the damned rom wouldnt let my calls go through and the voice mail alert would go off two hours after I actually received it. With vet vitos it was kind of the middle ground but I want No2 rom NOOOOWWWWWWW...lol

Why exactly are you having to soft reset? I'm on DCD 3.0.4 and going on 6 days without a soft reset.

No offense guys, but I don't think that this is on topic with No2Chem ROM Upgrade stuff. I am not trying to be a jerk, but this is kind of the reason why this thread is so huge, making it hard to find upgrade related issues/fixes.

Not trying to be a jerk either, but it is a forum and well, thats what forums are for. Anywho my post could help someone that may have the same problems of not getting calls or whatever, but lets leave it at that.
Now I have two questions one, I had to change my sci to 1 to be able to receive calls. Could it have been a rom that messed it up or is it a design flaw with the mogul.
And second question I read somewhere that if I enable rev a on ##778# I'm actually disabling it because the roms enable it already, is this correct. I'm currently using No2 5060

That's correct, whether you are on the official ROM or a custom, just don't mess with that setting & you'll have Rev. A.

for the rev a, that is correct. if you choose disable it actually means that you are disabling it. therefore, it is already enabled. hope that helped.

I don't know why you jumped down my throat, but questions like this are exactly what I am talking about though. If I am wrong and no one else thinks this, than thats fine I will back off. Just that this question has been answered a thousand times in other forums and it isn't related to N2C ROMs.: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20905

I just think that when it comes to efficiency, and letting N2C know about issues/changes, then we need to clean this forum up.

Just my 2 cents.

Don't misunderstand. I meant no disrespect, I do believe this is what forums are for and considering the issue I ask about are under No2 roms then I don't see anything inappropriate with it. And I do understand your point... so, like I said lets leave it at that :)

Watchout everyone, the self-appointed thread police are out tonight :-O That's really the OP's and the admins place to say.

Oh and any decent thread with as much interest as no2chems releases are going to be huge. But since I can see your new to this whole internet thing, I'll let you in on a little secret. but shhh don't tell anyone... so if you have trouble with large threads, there is a handy little feature called "search." it will help you wade through the bulk.
