Update 2: It's working again; I removed arcsoft MMS and text messages started flowing again. I know arcsoft said to set "carrier customize" to the correct carrier, however I never could find where that setting was configured. Anyone know?



Hey Guys,

I just updated to 5060 last night and SMS was working fine, however after flashing the second time (to change the installed application suite), I'm no longer receiving text messages, though I can send just fine? Anyone have any ideas? It's making work difficult since I get server alerts all day long, and today I'm not, heh

Update: I've reflashed and i'm still not getting sms messages. Data connection is working, as are voice calls and outgoing sms. Only thing not working is the reception of SMS messages. Anyone ever run into something like this?

Humm... but in the other thread (2.1) it says if you wish to use a known to be more stable rom keep it at 5060 (2.0), which would pertain to this thread. Unless you're refering to using the 5060 kitchen thread, get's confusing.. :drunken:

lol it was just a suggestion anyway i doubt that it will actually happen, like you said there's those that are still running 5060, like myself, but of course since it's stable i have nothing to complain about... :mrgreen:

there is only one thing i cant figure out with this rom. when you go to the dial pad and type the contact's name, the dialer does not automatically pull it up.

for example, you have a john in your contacts list. you would go to the dialer pad and type in 5,6,4,6. (spells john)

this rom doesnt do that, any solutions?

the smartdialer you attached wasnt the correct smartdialer...well atleast it didnt work for me.

For the last few days i havent been able to sync with my PC. I tried to hard reset my device and pull my battery for a few minutes. It wont work. I have been running 5050 since it came out with no problems. I havent done anything different to the PC or the Device. I have tried syncin with 2 different PCs and nothing. I used Mail2web to sync my info and also my pc. Anyone know what i need to do.

On the Mogul, go to settings->system->usb to pc and uncheck "enable advanced blah blah blah"

I always have to do this after a reflash, or Activesync will quit working after a while.

I'm on Verizon's network with the Titan. As someone who is new to flashing ROMs on phones, I went against my better judgement and tried this out ... and I thought I did it correctly.

I firstly unlocked the phone using Hard-SPL-MFG 2.40 (as I assumed this is a GPS ROM?). That seemed to work fine. I ran the RUU with the 5066 build. Again, everything seemed to progress fine.

Though when everything was updated and the hard reset came, it's stuck at the first Verizon slash screen. Some device info is shown at the bottom for a few seconds then goes away. Then it just sits there... I've tried removing the battery for 20+ minutes with no luck.

Do I effectly have a brick or is there something I can try to recover this?

What radio version is on your device?
I would try another hard reset. (hold both soft keys and reset hole until you see the screen change, follow on-screen instructions).
If that does not work...

I discovered after reading over things again that I never updated the radio version. Got into the bootloader and updated using Sprint's and I'm now redoing all of the steps. I'll post back with the results.

This is a clean rom, so it doesn't have much on it. YOU MUST USE THE NEW BOOTLOADER (Olipro 2.40) for this rom to work.

**Known issues:
GMAIL users are forced to use POP3 Email due to auto-detection (EDIT: Omegax posted a fix: type in gmail wrong and fix it later).
(5050+) = crashes imgfstools on nbmerge. You'll need to manually repair the partition table before using nbmerge.
(5050+) = PLEASE TAKE OUT YOUR BATTERY AND PUT IT BACK IN, THEN HARD RESET AFTER FLASHING. The new partition table requires a full reset.

Please post any requests in this thread and I will try to do my best to accomodate them, provided that it does not involve adding applications to the rom. IF you find out how to fix something, please post it so I can fix it in my next release.

I just put the nueROM v2.1 build 5066 on to Sprint Mogul. It stays on HTC logo for like 20 minutes already. Is that normal?

Pull the battery for about 30 seconds and then do a hard reset.......

turn it off, take out the battery for a bit and put it back in, that happened to me last night. after that perform a hard reset. (left and right soft buttons aka the two dot buttons on the front and push the soft reset with the stylus)

flashed 5066 and its works great. Just a few quesitons if possible. how do I get the pdf cab and how do i set it a default so when I get email i can just click on it and it opens like the stock rom. Also how can I get java app so I can load mini opera. sorry if this was answered earlier.

anyone know how to hide the battery icon? after i install HHC home the battery icon shows back up and like interferes with the date... i think its caused by installing HHC home... icon may just be drawn incorectly... what can i do to clean this up? thanks all

I am pretty sure that there is a regedit in here somewhere....just cant remember which thread it was in.....did you do a search on "battery icon"?

hello everyone. first let me start and say that i am new to the whole phone hacking??? i hope that is the proper term. anyways i got a HTC mogul 2 weeks ago from sprint, and i would like my phone to look te the moguls on youube. with the thread texting and also the cooler looking main display...

has there been an update since thefirst post done my No2Chem on 1-31-2008??

please let me know if is safe for my to follow the steps to hav windows moble 6.1
also steps to do this update would be greatly appriciated.

That's the primary phone it was designed for, although the current ROMs on startup let you choose what carrier you're with, and will customize the settings accordingly, so you're covered with any Titan.

If you installed 5060 -

a) you really should check out a newer release like 5066, 5067, or 5069K
b) should have GPS capability both because of the 3.XX Radio and this ROM has the GPS files...
all you need is a program like Windows Live or Google Maps, etc...

There is, if you previously installed a sprint rom with it you should be able to find the cab in your extended rom (you should see the option in the file manager), otherwise search around on here and someone should have posted the cab...

I tried using Google Maps and it says that no GPS reciever was found...do I need to enable something? Clearly im a noob when it comes to this...I just want my phone to work..lol
