Also, I am using no2chems basekit, modifying it a bit, and will hopefully have something wm6.1 soon. My custom wm6.1 so far as of today is running great.
i really like your rom, a perfect balance between performance and versatility. looking forward to your wm6.1 build.

Ok I'm fairly new to flashing. I had no problem flashing to the 3.16 rom but now I want to try one of the custom roms. I want to flash to shadowmite's version. I downloaded the file from rapidshare (http://rapidshare.com/files/86648524...05spl.rar.html) but its a .rar file. Im just trying to make it work. Please Help!

if you dont know what a .rar file is, you need to do a bit more research before you start flashing custom roms, no offense.

Jude thanks! This helped me as well... does this do anything to the actual GPS files or just helps fix the IOTA problem?

Your rom is the best so far. I've been running it when you first put it up and have have no problems at all. When are you caoming out with 6.1 we are all waiting. The only thing your rom is missing is the battery bar on the top. Thanks man.

I noticed the following weirdness that I would appreciate someone checking on their phone:
* In the new ROM my user name was listed under System-Device Information, but in 2.17 there is no user name there.
* When I do edit in ##778#, Security-HDR AN AUTH User Id(LONG) shows my hex ESN@hcm.sprintpcs.com. (Maybe this is why my email didn't come through?!?) Shouldn't it be my username@sprintpcs.com?
* HDR AN AUTH Password(LONG) is a bunch of gibberish extended ASCII characters. Shouldn't it be my SprintPCS password?
* PPP USER ID and PPP PASSWORD are both blank. Is this right?
* Would the IOTA cab help, and if so where is it? I've searched but can't find it.

I'm going to leave it alone until after work tomorrow before trying again, but hopefully someone will chime in to help me out.
Anyone with any ideas for me? I'm sorry to be a newb and ask this, but I've tried everything, and IOTA just won't work for me. Here's my explanation:

I am having the same problem as Jim. I can get back to 2.17 no problem, phone and data work fine.

But when I try any other combination (dcd, 3.16, no2chem, etc.) I can get everything to work EXCEPT IOTA/data. I do notice something as well as Jim, and that's in the Security page of the EPST, I see HDR AN AUTH User Id as ECN@hcm.sprintpcs.com and HDR AN AUTH Password as "gobbledy goop". I don't think this is there when I have an upgraded ROM/radio. Just wonder if anyone has more ideas? I've tried the IOTA.cab thing after doing the ROM upgrades as well without luck.

THANKS in advance!
