ok, well i've decided to just go ahead and flash a new ROM, but having some trouble deciding which. i've narrowed my choices down to the following and need some help deciding:

1) the newesst syndicate rom frozen

2) the latest ROM that comes on a standard epic4g from Sprint/samsung (is this the EF02...and which is better, EF02 or SRF 1.2?)

3) the leaked EG22, and is it that much better than the EF02 ROM?

i liked the SRF and haven't really had an issue with it until i just had this current issue. i do want gingerbread and to give me epic the newest that is out, but want the most stable with speed and goodies as well.

PS, no problem on hijackin my thread for a lil bit...looks like im changing pace with it a bit too

EF02 is also a leaked Gingerbreadm latest leak is EH builds. like EH06..

I went with EH06, backed up data from a May '11 backup, and things look good. I even put 2 different themes on...using the ACS fusion half baked yadda yadda, now. go 2 issues though:

1) mounting via usb is giving me driver problems, can't mount to my pc at the moment.

2) my BT headset (jawbone icon) is not recognized or connecting...is this a know issue for EH06 or gingerbread?

Using old data backups will cause TONS of issues.

well the jawbone issue looks to be solved. i removed all pairings from the jawbone, then paired again and it connects.

the PC connection is till a problem for me though.

and now there is a new issue:

i'm thinking to re-odin the rom, install flash the theme again, then do all my apps from titanium as opposed to restore data from backup. i figure i can back up all my sms and other things in titanium as well and that way keep most of my data, just have a more tedious time getting it all back to me. what you think? i really like EH06, other than those issues mentioned.

If you want to avoid issues i'd also stay away from using titanium backup, especially if you a creating the backup from a different ROM that you are gunna end up using.

The true way to assure yourself of no more issues is to start from a clean slate. Its a bitch i know, but once in a while you kinda gotta do it.

yeah, i'm cringing just thinking about that...i just have WAY to many apps. im trying to eliminate some. actually starting from scratch and adding those i really need/use would probably be the best way to rid myself of unused apps. ARRGGHHH!!!

I never have issues restoring just apps plus I use "my backup pro"
