I think my epic is crap, so much that I'll never buy another samsung phone. I'm on my 3rd one and still have issues. I stopped getting texts and calls randomly unless i reboot (happens weekly, but I don't realize it because it calls out fine). I get damaged memory cards at least 2X a month and have to reformat. Its fried 3 micro SD cards where they couldn't be reformatted on the phone, or a computer. Exchange email is worthless because I cant send an email without it making every line break a so the email is almost unreadable. The keyboard also doesn't register keys sometimes. Other than that, its pretty damn cool, but these are major issues that suck pretty bad. My old htc touch pro never had anything near as bad as this. My phone is 100% 'stock' with only 4 or 5 apps.

Where do you buy your sd cards?

The key skipping can be fixed with a custom kernel. As for the text and calls randomly..does this happen in all locations or in some? it might be an issue with a nearby tower.

as for line breaks..line breaks in between what?

I got my cards at frys. when the next one goes out I'll find one with a 1 year warranty. My phone mostly bugs out at my house, but other places too unless I reboot.

For the exchange email it will turn this.

It does that anytime I reply to an email from my works exchange server, and it will do that to the entire email, not just what I typed. My other servers work fine. I looked into it and the only fix i could find was to use another email client, or get gingerbread. Its pretty common if you google "samsung epic exchange br" I don't have time to be messing with my phone all the time, or I probably would have it rooted already.

Whats the brand on the sd cards? maybe frys accidently got their hands on some of those fake cards..it happens..though usually sd cards have lifetime warranty depending on brand (To note Ive had same sd card since day 1 and works fine)

As for that other issue it sounds more like an issue with the tower :/...if you have another phone to test on would make it easier.

Now for exchange it looks like its trying to send HTML email and it gets sent out as plain/text.

I would suggest just to load up a custom rom..you don't need to tinker with your phone too much its a pretty simple and straight forward process..I personally loaded up acs frozen 1.2 + genocide kernel+journaling on and have been using it for months..no extra tinkering...and doesn't require much time..
