Were in august already so hopefully its mid and not late august. Ive seen lower end phones that GB comes already pre installed and this phone hasn't gotten the update yet thats not right

TRUE very TRUE which would be something that i would hate cause even lower end phones would be on 2.3 and this "HIGH END" phone stuck on 2.1 would really suck but in reality though this phone does everything i need it to do since 2.1 stock but i still want some ice cream sandwich.

Samsung does charge sprint for updates it part of their contracts. Bug fixes are free all others cost money. Phone is end of life so sprint will say purchase new phone.

regardless if they do or dont i think the carrier still owes it to the consumer to support the phone they have signed a contract/agreement with especially if the manufacturer has support/upgrades for it.
