Is the EF02 really that bad? I have had no issues with the phone sub the battery teasing me one day with really good life (this was right after being calibrated) to back to subpar life the next couple days. I am gonna try and recalibrate it again today and see what happens but GPS works just fine, everything else just fine so far.

What we have is decent, but I would hope that they improve the modem and battery life before we get an official update.

See this post for more info. Basically, toggling WiFi can cause corruption in the modem that only reflashing a modem in Odin can fix.

1) the evo3d is not worth that amount as its cheaper to get a new one, and terminate the contract on the spot..which ends up a total of 400 usd

I know, right? I found that little gem on xda while scrolling through about 5,000 posts about the new GB leak. And the funny thing is that it never happened to me until I found that post, and then like 5 minutes later my phone locked up in Airplane mode. But yeah, it works. Make sure you wait a good 45 seconds though. At first I just pulled the battery and put it right back in and my phone still had no service. So I did it again and waited, and it was fixed.

Originally when I upgraded to EF10, I could never connect. I reflashed everything like 5 times one night. So I was on ef02 for the longest time. I had the issue that when I was in flaky signal areas, it would lose connection after being on roam for a while and then never come back. I would have to pull the battery a couple times before it would come back. Just upgraded to EF10 last night. let's see how that is.
