Mine was really dead I mean literally because it was working the day before I used it again. The day before I used it I had it under my pillow for until 2 am in the morning I remembered it got really hot ... I was too tired to get up. I plugged into a charger and went back to sleep... that day when I woke up it wasn't hot anymore but remembered and wanted to check it out to see if anything went wrong... Yup it was noticeable...my accelerometer was really dead. You could smell the unusual crisp coming from the motherboard. Do if anything like that you know it's a hardware issue. Did the factory reset and I even restored my phone back to stock un rooted via odin... The issue still wasn't resolved then... when I took it back to sprint they didn't see a solution so they declared it "defective. "

U must be very unlucky! Not too many epics fail.

For everyone who has flashed dk17, go download android terminal and enter the code I wrote above. It got rid of all the lag I gave been having all these days! Now its as fast as eclair stock! Best thing I did that made a very noticable improvement!
