Was that a sprint commercial aka target sprint galaxy S or all Galaxy S? cause Samsung does its own commercials too..and if it features them all then its a Samsung commercial..which doesn't help with a release :/

Re: Sprint Epic 4G

Is anyone else concerned about the variety of reviews of the samsung galaxy (tmobile (check mobile burn), att (again mobile burn), European version (check slashgear) that comment on the phone showing some lag? I am really hoping this phone can replace my touchpro 2 and I am excited on the video codec support and the screen but those reports on lag bother me (along with touchwiz- why can't you just turn it off?)

The guess of that lag is not touchwiz but an I/O read and write error..the community has made a fix for it...samsung most likely will officially fix it soon too..

yes...also some already inti-graded a fix in their custom roms as well...

to pretty much explain what is going on look at the benchmarks:

http://androidandme.com/2010/07/news...-professional/

see how the captivate does horrible in comparison to the Droid X on the I/O test..thats pretty much the lag...once the fix is implemented it even beats the android 2.2 devices with 2.1

thanks- that certainly explains why the captivate did so badly on that benchmark
