Fully loaded rom works..thats what I used..what doesnt work is the journaling on version...which you can enable by making a backup after installing then restoring it.
ok, gonna give this a shot tonight. just one more clarification. if im making my own back up as you suggested, am i also doing the wipes? and i didn't see the fully loaded no-journaling before, thanks for pointing that out.

ok, its done.....iand I'm luvin it. flashing was really smooth and problem free. I didn't need to back up data from the midnightrom backup I made either. I immediately noticed it faster & a bit smoother than stock or midnightrom. I'm still with the no journaling and wondering if I should mess with it or leave it as it is. has anyone noticed clear differences with this rom when journaling is on or not?

I suggest enabling journaling..you loose some speed but you get data integrity..with journaling off..you gotta know how to take care of it..if you cant take care of it its asking for data loss...

ok, just did the journaling tweak and all seems well. I actually don't notice any increased slowness at this point....so for anyone questioning whether to do it, don't worry it doesn't seem to add any extra lag.

this appears to be an excellent rom and I feel like this is how my epic4g should have been outta the box. the phone feels like a true "2 year phone"...we shall see.

You say that now, wait till we get gingerbread with the Hummingbird optimizations...it'll be even more faster...

But you generally wont notice slowness...from journaling off is faster on benchmarks...real life performance varies on what you do...

A new easier way to enable/disable Journaling is available. I posted a thread here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/sprint-epi...d-instant.html
