Just seemed to work on my wifes stock evo fine so I thought it may have been something I did. I also was having the hardest time sending to a verizon phone unlike what that post you linked said. Think it may be fine now. I'll play with it today after I flash the journaled version of Frozen now that the link is back up (if it will load).

I personally suggest the Genocide kernel...out of all the kernels I had least problems with Genocide.

Will check that out. However it looks like the MMS issue WAS indeed sprint because it is working fine this morning. My bad on rushing the issue. Thanks for the help.

On a side note, I can never get the journaled standard version of this ROM to load. Just hangs at the Samsung screen. I've seen the link for it on here go down and back up several times and re-downloaded every time, but still a no-go. Did I miss something about this?

it doesnt work..to enable jornaling..download the none journaled rom...then make a clockwork backup and then instantly restore the backup..that will enable journaling.

Really? Sweet. Think I already have done that (for other reasons). Is there a way to check if it is enabled?

P.S. Thanks for all the help gTen.

If you backed up after flashing the rom and restored then dont worry journaling is on...until you reflash the rom..then you gotta do it again...

Re: [ROM][ACS] SyndicateROM Frozen 1.1.0 (Takiya) :: EC05/1.3ghz/NoCheckboarding :: 3

ok, im ready to give this ROM a try...just because im diggin the flash rom thing. but, being a newbie at it i got a couple questions.

1) in the instructions i read two of several options:

a] If you coming from the EC05 OTA (stock): Download the ROM and copy it to your SD card first, then use the CWM3 one-click, wipe data, and flash the ROM.

b] If you are coming from another EC05 ROM with the EC05 modem: Just flash the ROM. If you get any FCs at all, wipe data and reflash.

-im currently on the midnightROM and was thinking that option B of my choices if what i need to follow?

-also, do i need to make a backup of my current rom, wipe the data/factory reset 3x, wipe cache partition 3x, wipe dalvik cache 3x...before i do option B. is that the case or do i just go right into option B here without making the backup rom and wiping data?

the reason im asking is because just after the installation notes it states "This package will automatically backup and restore your data." making it seem that doing a backup prior to installation/flashing is not needed and also that there may be no need to do the wipes either.

2) because the "fully loaded" version isn't working, is there a way to add those extra options that are present in it but using the standard rom?

thanks for all your help.

Option B

I suggest it... while the rom does make a backup of itself then tries to restore automatically..if anything goes wrong its better not to risk it...I had it happen once..

Fully loaded rom works..thats what I used..what doesnt work is the journaling on version...which you can enable by making a backup after installing then restoring it.
