I personally use the no journal mod mainly as a way to flash the ext4 partition. I don't think it makes a huge performance difference. Plus you can find threads all over about how easy it is to manipulate benchmarks on the Epic. The whole point of the order above is that 2.9.2 only works on the ext4 file system where 2.9 ran on both. So if you are running 2.9 I would think that you could run the ext4 formatter then flash 2.9.2.

1) Odin back to Stock DK28 (not extended version)
2) Do the oneclickroot with CW2.5 redirector
3) Flash midNIGHT ROM v2.9 and let it boot
4) Using Quickboot boot into recovery (this should now be CW2.5.5.2)
5) Flash the no journaling/EXT4 formatter
6) Flash midNIGHT v2.9.2 and enjoy.
7) Boot up and then flash oneclickroot w/CW3

You're running 2.9 right now.
Are you running Ext4 file system or rft (stock)?
Which CW recovery are you using? 2.5 or 3?

Need to know what you are running now to help you.

Yes, so then flash the ext4 formatter to change the file system to ext4 (or the no journal formatter), then flash 2.9.2. Backup your rom before you start. If you get stuck on the Sammy screen after you flash the rom, start from scratch with odin.

Yes, flash the no journal from the green cwm.

I'll post a link for Odin for you in a few min.

After you install the no journal mod you'll install 2.9.2 then boot.

DO NOT reboot after installing the no journaling mod until you've flashed the rom.
